Games Dead For Killers
Just got the fabled SWF stacked team. Yeah no thanks. Was gonna buy all the DLC here in the next week. Not happening, 0 reason to play killer. Enjoy this ######### game!

Yeah, SWF are too common now.
I'm on the edge of retiring as killer, and making it possible for killers to get a game that isn't a 4 man swf by going survivor main.
Oh, and if you want, you can try to dodge SWFs. Watch the lobby, and see if people join at the same time. If they do, odds are they are swf.6 -
Dont try to get into the game right now. Its a really bad moment trying to do so.
Devs still have a lot of stuff to do, fixing gap between solo/SWF and balance accordingly, then all the DCs and finally dedicated servers.Not sure if we will ever see those changes though

they are working on it.
the last patches a lot of very necessary killer buffs and QoL changes have been made. until this point, close your lobby when you see more than 1 flashlight and open a new one. this usually helps. also, you can check their steam profiles and their friendslist in order to spot SWF groups, so you can do the same.
if you dont want to spend money on this game, this is fine. but maybe you are tempted to buy the killers with ingame currency? (9.000 Shards = 1 not licensed killer or survivor) you get the shards with leveling up your playerlevel.

Played 3 rounds yesterday and 2 of them were 4 stacks SWF and 1 was a 3 stack. I'm just going to hardcore lobby dodge from now on I guess.

Honestly, when I'm learning a different killer I get stomped, but when I play pig I often go easy on survivors and still end up with kills and plenty of BP while still just "toying" with them.... but most killers scream that it's a constant beatdown for them.3

So you enjoyed the game enough to where you wanted to buy all the DLC, but not enough to where one potentially decent SWF team beats you and you give up? Dude its a game. We want to be free to play who we want, not have to be pro grade on a certain killers to have a chance.
We want to run the perks we want.
We don't always want to push ourselves to the limits just to get anything done. Especially in blood points which are often incredibly crap vs a coordinated group often enough.
Some of us are casual sorts. It feels like if we are to be able to play casually, and not get wrecked constantly, it has to be against as many people not in a group as possible.
Problem is, even at low ranks, l Iike 16, and 15, (the Halloween event came just after reset, and I potatoed a lot on purpose) there's swfs that just want to bully, and have 5 minute games.
It's impossible to enjoy the game casually with an swf. They have hooks up their asses. They have zero intent on letting the killer have fun, or do much.
There may be "easy" swfs out there, but I'm not interested in wasting my time finding them.6 -
No wonder the game is where it is now with such baby killers....
I blame it in devs anyway, not on frustrated teenagers used to Assassin's Creed-like unchallenging games...2 -

I don't know.Quite weird. Have been playing all evening at rank 1 and almost always got 3k or 4k. Of course maybe I just got lucky. I mean I just started the game like 3 months ago. But to me the game seems pretty well balanced at the moment.

I'm not upset, you're taking that too literal.
It's just a metaphor for how absolutely ruthless SWFs are even on lower levels that beating them, or even getting worthwhile blood points from the trial is a massive task. If you're trying to be casual, you're absolutely screwed.
Vs an uncoordinated group of randoms it's more likely people will escape, and both teams will get decent blood points.

Yes, SWF can sometimes be frustrating, but far from the point where I would quit. They are no where near as bad as they were a few months back. While the game still needs a lot of balance issues fixed, it is in its best place in a long time. I personally do not mind going against SWF. Majority of the team, they are not this super skilled coordinated attack force. They are usually a bunch of friends screaming at each other to stop missing skill checks.

Except they aren't fixing the gap between solo and SWF, they are widening it forcing solos to go SWF.

Except they aren't fixing the gap between solo and SWF, they are widening it forcing solos to go SWF.
Thats what they do atm. They make solo unbearable and killer vs SWF unbearable.

Im sure they have some long term ideas but maybe they are already developeing DBD 2, I dont know....

SWF blows but....just depip...or screw around....or farm your daily.
I have so much fun in this game just screwing around. It earns me bps....I level up but depip....
I get the swf frustration....it really is imbalanced, but against 4 solo survivors, after you practice for a bit, you will own them, which makes it really fun.
Don't give up though. Practice and get better and eventually you too will receive death threats and suicide recommendations in post game chat!3 -
This thread is so dramatic, poor SWF treated like some Boogeyman, i don't get what thing tho', why y'all coming here pissed off that some SWF demolished you ?
I admit i had times when i was pissed off by Survivors, whether SWF or not, but not once i came here to whine about it, just turn off the game and play something else, jeez...

People just need to find their groove. I got to rank 8 with Doctor once. That was unpleasant to put it mildly. Later I started practicing my shots on Huntress and now I get hatchets over loops sometimes. The worst part of this is the fact that asymmetrical games are designed to have the power role fail eventually. The very formula of the game is intended to have the power role lose if the team role does everything right. It's part of why Evolve died and part of why Death Garden flopped. The Killers of Dead by Daylight were made to fail. I just hope that the game doesn't fail with them.1 -
