Hook Placements are Terrible

Just had a match where my team tried their best to get me free of the killers grasp. He was trying to hook me on a hook, they disabled it, he took three steps and used another. Of course I was almost done wiggling and that good ol hook vaccum canceled it for me. I have rarely if ever been in need of a hook. They are strewn around like candy on all the maps except the swamp. For some reason a lot of those hooks are on the edge of the map and a pain for killers which is understandable

    Been awhile since I've heard the term "hook vacuum". 🙄

    Killer has ~15s to get you on a hook. If they were able to hook you after one breaks in front of them, then you were too close to the 1st for your teammates to save you.

    The game wants the killer to hook you after winning a chase. So the act of hooking isn't supposed to be difficult or a struggle to do. Would you rather killers slug everyone before attempting to hook? Because that's the alternative.

    I was playing on the Asylum yesterday and one side of the map was almost an entire deadzone for hooks. If I downed more than one person on that side I had no choice but to slug them because picking them up would result in them struggling out (which it did) if the hooked person wasn't saved yet and I couldn't trade the hook. On the other side of the map though I could have stood still till the wiggle progress was at like 80% and still make it to multiple hooks before they escaped my grasp.

    I’m just saying if there’s a hook less than two feet away from another that’s bad hook placement. Especially since there are perks to help sabotage hooks and tools. There is no point in having those perks at all if hooks are right beside each other
