Why are Killers so Hard to Control and Yet Survivors Easy?
Bought a few of the dlc finally. Always wanted to try Ghostface and Myers. I noticed almost every new killer is labeled hard and a nightmare to master. While with survivors you can basically just swap them out with others. Nothing really special about them. Why give killers just a hard time to master and have fun with their new killers but throw out basic re-skins of survivors?

- As someone who adores playing both Ghostface and Myers, I respect that.
- The issue is the items. The items are essentially their “power”. The diversity in perks and such make each their own unique little thing, giving Survivors more special abilities alongside the items may be a little...troublesome.
- I wouldn’t say the game’s labels are always the most accurate. For instance, Wraith is labeled “Intermediate” when he’s, in my opinion, at least, one of the simpler killers to use.
In summary, the idea of having more unique survivor “power” and maybe statistics is interesting, it would be a whole new system to deal with. One that would, knowing this game, be infuriating.

Replayability of survivor comes from chases and intense moments (imo).
Replayability of killer is the thousand different approaches you can take to beat a survivor team through strategy or mechanics. Survivors are essentially one trick with their movement, wouldn't you expect them to run you forever if you could only pick one killer?
Don't be so lethargic, the best part of killer is its difficulty to master. You just haven't seen it yet.

Huh? Freddy is the most lethal killer statistically but is labeled hard. And he can be very hard, if the survivors keep themselves awake.
Pig is just rolling the dice. Sometimes the traps kill people for you, sometimes they do nothing.
Solo Q survivor isn’t easy, only SWF.

It’s not being lethargic. It takes more skill and time to be a killer and you don’t even have to really try too hard at being survivor cause you have three others picking up your slack

That’s disingenuous. You can easily be put in borderline unwinnable situations on both sides. Survivor you get people throwing the game, farming you, playing too immersive, etc.
Killer you get the 3-4 man meta sweat squads that finish all the gens in under 5 minutes.

Just played as Deathslinger. Now I know why I never come across him. He’s a crap killer who you have to have laser point accuracy to even hit anyone

Personally I don’t think Ghostface is easy. Maybe Intermediate. But it is odd how almost all the killers are labeled hard. Makes it seem like the devs don’t want people playing Killers or purposefully making it difficult against survivors, which they seem to favor greatly.

I’m on console and from what I seen apparently he’s harder to control and aim on console. I’ve had people lined right up in my sights and still miss. I wasn’t expecting to pick him up and be amazing. But I could barely get a hit with the gun. Most of my downs came from just smacking them.

I think how you play needs to be a factor too. All these killers play well and are easier on PC but are either broken or insanely hard to play on console. I tried Nurse on PS4.....once. It made me sick to even look at it and I couldn’t really do anything.

I’m not saying I was going to give up playing him. He honestly seems interesting though a lot of maps don’t seem made with him in mind so the gun seems to be very situational. Like I got stuck with him in Hawkins where everywhere is littered with junk in small narrow hallways. So not a lot of moving room.

I bought Myers, Ghostface, and Deathslinger. I haven’t tried Myers yet and played Deathslinger once and honestly I didn’t like him. I’m on console and the aiming felt off and I could never hit them when I wanted to. Down the sights and everything and still missed. I’ll keep trying but so far I’m not impressed with him. Plus a lot of maps make his gun almost useless. Like Hawkins with it’s littered hallways. I haven’t tried Myers yet but I’m excited to. At first I thought Ghostface was going to be difficult but I got the hang of him alright and love him. I think I honestly lean more into being a stealth killer more than anything cause I can’t really do well with the out in the open confrontational killers.

So this is just a whine about survivor gameplay post as suttle as possible. Nice.

No I’m just saying it’s more difficult being a killer and almost every new killer has a big learning curve. Besides Bill, who I think is somewhat difficult cause he old, most survivors all play the same no matter what.
