Disillusioned with DBD
So I took a short break from the game to do some grinding on Genshin Impact. (Still haven't gotten the new character) :<
Anyways my first few matches back were complete hell. I played some Pyramid Head, Miguel and Booba. I was actually excited to get back into the game since it had been almost 2 weeks since I've played. Well I load into my matches and OOPS! ALL MAP OFFERINGS!
Went to had-no-fun, Midwich and then I got a ds+unbreakable key squad who called me ######### for not being able to counter their busted builds with my casual perk builds. It's either sweat or lose, and losing wouldn't be so bad if you didn't get it shoved in your face by the opponent afterward. Toxicity comes from the abusable ######### in the game, I believe. Survivors can't be toxic if the game is balanced since the only ones who could would be the actually good ones (like 3 people in the world btw). And yes, I say survivors, because while I have had my fair share of toxic killers survivors are the ones who I see act like asses the most. Even when I'm playing surv I can still see some survivors being shitheads. I understand for some people it may be funny and it's even a potential mindgame if you can infuriate the killer enough to stay on you the whole game. I think that is a very core part of the dbd experience is going against a killer who wants you dead or that one survivor you're making sure doesn't escape. But as it is right now I cannot stand to play the game. It's better, sure, but it's still so wildly imbalanced and there's so many outdated features. I love the game, but it's ass.

I think a lot are playing maps because for whatever reason the only maps you get randomly are auto haven auto haven MacMillan. It gets old fast

i wish the "did you have fun?" rating at the end of every match were replaced with a "did this feel fair?" rating. if the information gathered by that rating is actually used, then i imagine the latter might have more useful feedback than the former.

Big oof on that. Those are my least favorite as survivor or killer.

I really wish when they reworked Badham the would have gotten rid of some of the variants.

I used to think coldwind maps were the worst maps, recently though I think I'd take a coldwind over a Badham. Either way both are trash and the sad part is they've touched Badham twice yet addressed none of the complaints and the maps are still atrocious.
