i had a 3 gen 1 dead they weren't doing the gens so i looked around and guess what happened??? "We are looking into keys" Then they nerf moris which is fine but they leave keys

Survivors are almost always going to find the hatch first, especially with SWF. 1 or 2 can be completely dedicated to finding the hatch. The Kill has no such luxury.

Keys and hatch are just unfair shortcuts. The killer equivalent is old moris or slugging/1-hooking everyone. Not fun to play against.

im completly fine with how the hatch works with 1 person i just hate keys

They managed to repair **at least** four of five generators, and were able to avoid you long enough for all three of them to find and make it to the hatch.
They've already said they're going to nerf Keys at some point in the near future, so what's the point in still complaining and asking for nerfs?

i was playing plague i had 4 fountains around my 3 gen there was no way they were going to win sir

i literally one that game they were all dead on hook aswell but ya youre right i lost because i got outplayed XDDDD

the point in me complaining is they said they were going to nerf keys but what did they do? nerfed moris which is fine but they didnt say anything and keys are yet to be nerfed :/

The best thing to do is to just forget about that game. In your head you won that game. In their head they won.

They're taking awhile in nerfing keys. It shouldn't be too hard to just adjust it so the key can't be used for an entire team and only allows the user to escape (I.E hatch immediately closes after they drop in it). Maybe add it so, keys can't drop after death for someone else to pick up (this should be universal for items IMO).

yeah the swf team were so bad too they said "didnt they already nerf keys" i guess they were talking about the change to being able to close the hatch.

That would be a good solution for solo players, so they have a reason to keep playing through dcs and suicides. SWF dont need them anyway.

Well, i am a solo survivor, and i would say they escaped, but still the killer won. There is a difference. its more like second winner in a ranking with 2 partys.

I think they should just get rid of the hatch opening mechanic altogether, the key's add-ons are interesting on their own, but no one pays attention to those

I primarily just hate that the hatch opens for multiple people with a key, that it encourages you to screw over your team at the end, and that it is given to a losing survivor just because they hid the best even with 5 gens left.

I think there should be a 5 second opening hatch animation so that the hatch can’t be opened while in a chase.
And once the hatch is closed it can’t be opened for another 30 seconds.

Yeah the devs specifically mentioned that changing moris was quite easy, it's just a number in the algorithm. But the rework of keys would take time, to add animations, test it, rework add-ons and revisiting perks and items that interact with the hatch to see if they needed some tweaking. I guess that they wanted to release them together, but since changing moris was really simple, and the community was still outraged with them, they decided they should change that a bit sooner.

I think the idea of multiple survivors escaping by hatch is fine, it's the implementation that's the problem.
Hatch is completely BS in the way that it is opened, in order for that aspect to be balanced it needs to take time, alert the killer in a fair way, and not save progress so you can't set it up beforehand.
With those implemented instant escapes won't be a thing and the killer can stop hatch from being opened if they are near enough to be alerted. It would add interaction with the killer which is what opening hatch needs to be balanced.

I don’t think killers should be notified that a hatch is being opened, they already get enough free information. You may as well alert them if an exit gate is being opened.

I think it is needed but not something as simple as a notification bubble the second it starts
In my previous post i posted my idea for it and i think that if the hatch had a seal of some sort that once broken alerts all players of its location and then allows it to be opened with keys that would allow the killer to add it to the list of things to defend.
Then after that simply adding a directional audio of say 20 or so meters when opening the hatch would be a very fair way to alert the killer. The reason this is fair is because the time it would take to open hatch is kinda short, in my idea i think it should take 12 seconds and if the killer isn't near or is in a chase that seems like a good time to try to open hatch.
I don't think opening the hatch should be easy, making it so the killer can reasonably defend it is the best way to balance it.

i just dont understand why it takes so long. No other games get released with so many bugs. No other game is like blights pov will be updated after the 2nd ptb 3 patches after that

Also in that idea combined with the short time it takes to open hatch the killer would be split on defending it and the gens unless they chase the key holder.
It's not like it would be impossible to escape by either means in fact i would argue it gives the survivors a better chance of escaping but not like the free escapes keys are now.
