To anyone who thinks Shift+W is an issue...
1.) What do you expect a Survivor to do? Stand still so they can get hit? Hack the game and generate a Glock to shoot the Killer? Survivors don't have as many mechanics to stay alive as you'd think. They can run, drop pallets, loop, and occasionally juke, and that's about it. Until some massive shake-up to the game's mechanics arrive, those are the primary ways Survivors can interact with the Killer.
2.) Blaming Shift+W is to blame the symptom, not the problem. The reason running forward can be effective is because some maps have such long lines-of-sight and are so gargantuan that a Survivor getting a ten meter headstart can prolong a chase to a minute if the Killer takes it. Compounding this is the random generation of tiles which can sprinkle in safe pallets and jungle gyms right next to each other, further extending a chase. To blame a Survivor for using that to their advantage would be like blaming a Killer for using M2.

Who is blaming shift+ w and saying its a problem? It's incredibly strong but i haven't seen anyone rage at it or anything.

Topic on the same subject that still misses the point in the exact same way, number 5.

I'm a console player, but what does the 'W' actually do? Seen it mentioned a few times recently.

Makes you move forward, directional keys W, A, S and D.

I play both sides and can't see why holding the forward button is a problem, seems a bit petty tbh.

It's not a problem in and of itself.
The issue had been getting brought up that, on larger maps, running away in a straight line is technically stronger than all other options, and it's only possible due to map design.
Personally, I have no problem with shift w. It should always be a solid choice. That said, I agree with many others that the staggering size of some maps is more the issue here.

"Please remove the ability to run for survivors"

Yeah I heard all killers want to disable survivors ability to move. Pretty sure every killer is saying that, which just proves killers are toxic.

I like the larger maps tbh, perhaps have the large ones require 6 gens or something. COD is the same, the vast majority want only cluster** maps where you see plenty of action.

Some maps are survivor-sided. Some maps are killer-sided. No maps are impossible to win for either side.
Winning on a map that doesn't suit the side you're playing on should be taken as a testament to the skill of the player. It should be an aim to feel good about, rather than blaming everything but themselves for not doing as well as they hoped.
This is perhaps one of the most embarrassing arguments I've heard on this forum. Please can people just learn how to improve their playstyle or focus on actual changes needing attention, rather than getting upset about survuvors running away.

JFC Tru3 makes one video..... It's like no one has a mind of their own anymore.

There's a huge god damn difference between toxicity and entitlement, many killers AND survivors are entitled, not toxic.
It's not to correct your wrong use of words, it's to point out to the majority of people that think having an entitled opinion is toxic, thank you for listening :).
(Edit: Of course they can be toxic, but 99% of the "toxic" situations are just simply entitled)
