Leatherface ''The Grease'' Addon is useless. But I have an idea how to change that!
Hello Devs,
I have a suggestion for the Leatheface addon called The Grease. It doesn't make any sense at all and only helps in very rare cases when using the Light Chassis addon. So how could you make the addon better? All you have to do is speed up the overheat. From 5.0 seconds to 3.5 seconds. So the overheat mechanic would be much more dangerous, and there would finally be a reason to use The Grease addon. It would also be a lot more difficult for face campers to get along with Leatherface chainsaw. Please consider this change. It only has advantages. The numbers are adjustable, of course, but in my opinion 3.5 seconds makes the most sense. The same change for the Long Guide Bar addon of course. ^^
I am a Leatherface main, and it makes me sad that this addon is useless. And to all forum users who see this: please let me know your opinion on this idea! ^^

I don't think making a mechanic more annoying in order to make an addon good is a good idea.
I think the revving addons should be made into cooldown reduction on ending your Chainsaw Sweep, personally.

Annoying? Since the Rework, I have never got into tantrum because of its overheat mechanics. And your idea already exists: Vegetable Oil ^^

The overheat mechanic doesn't affect anyone that isn't revving the chainsaw at someone on a hook, and it shouldn't. I haven't gotten into a tantrum from it either. I'm just saying changing it has the potential to make it annoying if they go too far with it.
Also Vegetable Oil only decreases the cooldown of successful attacks. The in-game description isn't accurate.

Yes, I know, but otherwise the addon would simply be completely unnecessary. And I knew that Vegetable Oil would only apply on a successful hit. However, how often do you use the chainsaw and don't hit anyone? That happens very rarely, so it's unnecessary. I mean... the cooldown isnt that long

I mean, cooldown reduction would be a lot more useful that what we have now. The revving addons are basically useless.

More useful that what we have now, yes, thats right! But it would only apply on the second and third used token. The Cooldown when you used the first token is short enough ^^

Your idea is pretty bad, because instead of fixing the add-on problem, you created a problem for the add-on to be useful.

If the addon is to stay that way, you have to change something on the overheat mechanics. That's what I suggested. It's the easiest and the smartest way. Good Leatherface players won't get into tantrum anyway, but then the addon would at least finally make sense. But okay, everyone sees it differently and to me it makes sense. ^^ The fact is: something should be changed, nobody uses these two addons.
