Tips and Strats for Killers?
I’ve been looking into becoming a better killer but I noticed you can’t make many mistakes as Killer or else it spirals and you lose. I’ve looked online and i haven’t seen an updated strat or tips for 2021. Due to the ever changing game and updates I feel l need some fresh and new advice that reflects the game currently.

i think one of the most important things, is to learn when to not chase someone... rule of tumb is, dont chase survivors that are running to areas without any gens, even more so when they are going to a string loop, and even more more so important when is a critical point of the match, like a 3-4 gens or something like this... also dont take tbeags and "survivors buylling to seriusly" also dont hang too much in the post game chat, if you win they gonna call u a camper tunneler bla bla bal, if you loose you are a baby survivor (last one is for mental health)

The thing about killer isn't that you can't make mistakes. It's that a lot of the time, you can't recognize your mistakes because you simply don't have all the information. You might have missed the Claudette crouching behind the Gen, or failed to see the Yui walking in the distance as you headed toward the point where she spawned in.
I'm not sure there's really any NEW tips. Killer is probably easier now than it's ever been. Know the basics. Know where survivors generally load in. Get an idea of map layouts. Use perks that suit your playstyle. Leave chases when it looks like the chase will last too long. (For example, running the Cowshed). Figure out which gens to just let go, because sometimes they're just NOT worth it. Survivors are doing you a favor by doing them.

Don't be afraid to stop chasing a survivor. You can always catch the survivor later, but you can't uncomplete that generator.
...and yes that sometimes means letting a generator go. If you have three generators close together and one waaaaaay out on the other side of the map, let the survivors do that far gen. Certain killers, especially ones with one hit downs, can make those kind of situations really rough.

Applying pressure early game is important. Learning survivor spawn points helps you get on them sooner. Whisperers is a great perk to help you with this but don’t get sucked into searching an area for too long if the survivor is hiding well.
Definitely need to to be willing to let some chases go. It is sometimes better to get one hit or one pallet thrown and broken then drop to pressure gens.
I don’t agree that slugging and camping are always mandatory, but there are times they need to be used to get a win.
Also you should define what a win is to you and realize you won’t and shouldn’t win every match.

I can give you plenty. here's my tips.
1:Slug when it calls for it. Don't randomly slug unless you see another survivor next to eachother, this puts alot of pressure on said survivor team.
2: Tunneling and Camping. Not the best strat but sometimes you'll have to resort to pushing someone second phase early to stand a chance. (Lest its like rank 20s or something...)
3: Learning how to mindgame better. sometimes. you'll have to force a pallet by holding W but that One pallet can be a game changer if there isn't one there,
4: Making good use of your power: Don't always use it, fake it alil. bait the survivors into making a Mistake and taking advantage of it,
5: Used a downed survivor as bait. Dunno how but this works 90% of the time...
