Third party apps are acceptable?

Lowbei Member Posts: 2,637
MLGA, a tool that people use to dodge lobbies, is no longer whitelisted, which makes it just a 3rd party app being used to affect the way they play the game.

By this logic, if MLGA is only acceptable because its not detectable, then any 3rd party apps should be acceptable as long as they arent detected, right?

The point, is that if you are not willing to blacklist MLGA, which is ONLY used to dodge lobbies of killers who have beat them in the past, then you cannot be upset at players using any 3rd party apps.

That's like saying because you let people drive to the liquor store you shouldn't get mad if they drive drunk. The rules in the ToS state no altering of the game files is allowed. So any app that tries to alter DBD, blacklisted specifically or otherwise, is not allowed.

then MLGA is not allowed. yet theres streamers who use it without fear of bans. thus, MLGA is ok, only because its not detectable, just like the rest of the hacks.

nobody is banned for hacking either, because like i said, bhvr seems to be ok with 3rd party apps as long as they cant detect it. its just a strange stance for a game company to make.

the truth is that since they know that everyone else knows they cant detect it. so if they did blacklist it, it would be a joke and they would look bad.

yet by not blacklisting it, theyve set the precedent that they are ok with you using 3rd party apps that affect their game, which is clearly not their intention, but an unfortunate consequence of their inability to stop it.

Where do you get your information on how many people use it this way? I've been using it for well over a year, yet I've never dodged anyone for their play style. Nor have I blocked anyone except 1 person in thousands of games i know was lag switching, I don't even block the toxic POSs out there. The only thing I use it for is to avoid people with bad internet connections, jumping from 30 to 250+ constantly, and to know who is still in post game chat.

I doubt I am an unusual case, and any issues you think you are having because of it, may just be perception, not a depiction of reality.

thats ironic since the reason the reason they unwhitelisted it was because they added their own ping indicator, which you claim to be your reason for using it.

the truth is that the salties use it to avoid killers who wreck them, and everyone knows that

    MLGA? MLGA!? M ######### LGA?

Who in the WORLD takes this game that serious? Before the game displayed the ping to players it made some sense. Now that pings are displayed...who the hell uses it?

    salties, thats who.

had one last night get rekt, see that i was streaming on twitch, then come tell me that he blocked me on mlga lol

its no longer used to check the killers ping. its used to dodge people who wreck you.

by the way, one popular dbd steam group had a public block list for, and i quote “killers who play nurse”, for a long time before that was removed.

anyone attempting to defend use of it now is just in denial. now que the bads who will come try to make up excuses for using a 3rd party app to play the game.

The in game indicator is inaccurate. It is also slow. MLGA gives constant, quick ping, plus MLGA lets you know how many people are in end game chat.

Also, I could care less if they removed the block/loved feature. But I understand if streamers would want this feature, as good, successful streamers are often the subject of excessive harassment and stream sniping. But that is not good enough reason to keep the feature. But its no big deal anyway. Who the F cares.

You're not exactly smart, or maybe uninformed about what mlga is.
No point in talking to you.

So.. Blacklist it... Since it isn't detectable.... Would it even matter.

All the streamer has to do is put the MLGA onto the other monitor and you'd never even know they are using it anyways.

lol you are a perfect example. you have dozens of killers blocked who rekt you, including me, and this thread hit a little too close to the truth for you to handle.

git gud and you wont need 3rd party apps to compete.
