MMR at high rank will be absolute hell
I was watching a few streamers and I played a few games against decent survivors and I can't see how anyone can think this game will be fair/fun for a killer at higher ranks of MMR. If you aren't playing the most broken killers with the most broken build you stand almost no chance against four decent survivors. Gens just fly too fast with efficient survivors. downs just take too long vs decent survivors.
I and many others will probably tank our rating on purpose to avoid facing FOUR of these caliber players. It will be the most dreadful/frustrating experience being at these high mmr for killers.
Also I doubt it will be much fun for the survivors once every killer at high mmr is either nurse or spirit with the best perks. and all the things survivors complain about will just happen 10x over. Slugging, camping, tunneling will happen almost every game because killers will be forced to play this way if nothing changes.

Well as a red rank killer who played roughly 5 hours when SBM was active - I didn't mind the challenge. My worst game was a 1k and my best were 4ks - with mostly 2-3ks in there. I made really good BP during this time - so yeah I had no issues with it.

But you would have to have the appropriate skill level to get to that point. So it won't be hell for those people. If you're planning on having to purposefully tank your score then that tells me you wouldn't be at the highest level of play anyway

At high MMR the games basically reflect the high level tournament games - survivors hold W and killers camp and tunnel hard. Fun for everyone!

I don't think the MMR worked at all, personally. I didn't see a huge difference for my "control" Killer for the experiment. I pulled exactly the same kind of opponents I have been pulling for the last couple of months, i.e. either all Red Rank Survivors, or strange "Taste the Rainbow" matches. It was inconsistent as hell, and might as well have been random.
For the Killers that I never use, and played to test if MMR was taking into account my lack of rating with them, I found very little difference overall. It clearly was still taking my overall Killer rating with Myers into account. I was not going up against brand new Survivors or even middle tier. I was getting seasoned Players still. So whatever "formula" they are using is still taking my my successful Killer abilities as the primary factor.
Overall, I could tell that the system (however it works) is secondary to the needs of the Que. In short, if they can match you to whatever strange formula they have cooked up within a certain timeframe, they do. If they can't, it becomes first in first out. With that being the case, I would prefer speed over ANY kind of matchmaking. Make it the wild west, because inconsistent matchmaking is more annoying than us all accepting straight up RANDOM matchmaking. At least with entirely random the games will have some variety to them. We won't be able to complain about their MMR system because we know it is just luck of the draw. *Because let's be honest, it is luck of the draw most of the time anyway. The game only works if the Ques move; to put that in geek speak, "the spice must flow."

I'm not sure i'm against the challenge, but for every match and trying to play that way with every killer is not something I would enjoy.

Then don't play at high mmr. Play all the killer with fun build and let people get hatch.
Same for survivor. Don't run meta you won't be at high mmr.
If you run the meta and tryhard every game you will get the opposite side equivalent of your gameplay.. Working as intended.

I play to be challenged - easy escapes and easy kills are boring and are what KYF is meant for imo.

After they add MMR to the game, red rank SWF will always be playing against Nurse or Spirit and they either quit or DC or use hack to make killer DC, and DEVS nerf Nurse and Spirit, and then, poof, red rank SWF can't get any game anymore because nobody's MMR can reach them. And then the game is dead because nobody wants to play as killer and get bullied for 5min each game.

During my time testing the MMR system was one of the worst experiences ever. Now let me say that I don't want easy games but with the way this MMR system would work would make DBD one of the most unpleasant games for me to play and maybe stop playing it entirely.
When playing my best killer, Blight, I feel that I always have a chance of getting a 2k with me not full blown sweating but trying hard. With the new MMR system Blight was almost unplayable for me. I was waiting on average 20mins for a game only to be met with a survivor team where using the best perk and addons, and going all out I could barley 1k.
On the survivor side while use I had good team mates I was exclusively getting Spirits and Freddie's that would tunnel and slug.
The point is this MMR system will completely make players at high level go up against only the same 2-4 killers with the same perks camping tunneling and slugging, with the same survivor perks with an immense amount of gen rush.(Please not my def of gen rush is gens being done so quickly there is almost nothing you can do about it unless you slug and tunnel.) While I would like challenging games I don't want games where I feel I cant win and have to wait in extremely long lobby's.

I mean we'll see what happens and if the kill rates change. Currently every single killer has above a 50% kill rate so killers dominate survivors just in general. I'll start to think your way once I see some changes in the average game.

Oh i wont be lol. Im just afraid of being in a game like that when I shouldn't

This game's already dead.... it's 4 years old going on 5... that's a ridiculously long life span for a game like this.
WoW started to die after it's 5th year... it's basically on life support at this point in it's life and that's a HUGE game by a huge developer...
DBD has no legs to stand on... they're gonna close shop soon.
I wouldn't worry too much about MMR or balance changes... no point wasting your energy.

The developers don't really care about people that will be high MMR. Like balance, they only care about making the game enjoyable for 95% of the playerbase, which MMR will help the most, not the 5% who will absolutely hate it because, surprise, this game isn't balanced at all at the highest skill levels. It's going to suck for both sides at high mmr.

Remember when people said DBD is a casual game? Yeah. . . now with this MMR.

Maybe the game will be finally balanced, once the MMR drops and the top SWF teams only face 2 killers (on top of longer queues for them).
