Can someone tell me why i cant find any Survivor matches I can find killer matches in under a minute but I cant even play as Survivor why are the waiting times this bad i know rank affects it but isn't this a little to much i dont mind fighting rank 1 killers if it means I can still at least play Someone please tell me something will be done with the Long Queues I love DBD but I cant even play the role i want it makes me stop playing and play something else i do like killer but if i win pretty much at all the survivors run Toxic perks the next few games im just tryna have fun i usually run weird builds like one im using now is Nemesis, furtive chase,M&A,barbecue and chili it makes any killer a stealth killer lol but nothing is fun about playing againts a team with 4DS 4unbreakable and flashlights which is pretty much purple ranks and below lol

Not enough killer players. Going to get worse the longer the new MMR system is active.

Who wants to play killer and have three gens pop before you can even swing your weapon? Most killers have quit because everyone and their grandma are SWF. No one wants to play with SWF except streamers

Nobody wants to be the toy.

Never ceases to amaze me that the side that requires 4x the players has the longest queue. All things equal (e.g. MMR), it means players prefer survivor at odds greater than 4:1.

See that what you said? everyone else feels the same, hence they do what you do and just avoid killer altogether. There's no real new players either due to years of frustrating mechanics being ignored because survivors begged for more and more chances.

I mean, it doesn't help each killers MMR is the same (right now).
So like, I want to play pyramid head atm for example...I can't, I'm not allowed to.
I am red rank 1 because of my ability with Demogorgon and Nurse; if I try and play Pyramid head I am going to get bullied all day today, all day tomorrow, probably the next day after that and my rank won't even go down because if I so much as hit a few people it will keep me in red ranks.
So because of that I was just playing survivor, since I wasn't in the mood for much else.
They could offer queue incentives like "Hey, Killer queue volumes are low, so if you play as killer during these hours you will gain double bloodpoints" or even give you shards or something else if that doesn't prove to be effective. There are actually a few hours sometimes where survivor volumes are low, have it automatically swap to rewarding survivor queues at those times.
However BHVR is STUPID stingy and won't do this.

Yeah that's still pretty crazy to me even after spending an ungodly amount of time playing DbD.
In an asymmetrical game where one side is the hunter and one is the hunted, the prey are preferred more than 4x as much as the killer. You'd think there would be at least a few people wanting to experience a power fantasy or something but I guess the stress of 1v4 is a bit too much for most.

keep nerfing killers while survivors go unchecked and that queue time will get longer

Are you talking about the MMR that was just tested??

Yes. The longer it's on, the more it'll work its magic, the narrower the skill level will be. So instead of grabbing any killer to fill the slot, as it was doing for the last year, it'll try and remain in it's 'skill based' segment. More skilled you are, at least deemed by the MMR, the smaller the killer pool will be. It's why streamers are concerned about their matches, as nearly every game will be a sweat fest at the high end.

Great idea, but we all know what happens with those here :(

At the same time, those streamers often have like 4k hours and steamroll green ranks, people with much less experience, etc and 4k the hell out of them and those groups don't have a chance in hell, I doubt it's terribly fun for them either. I know I kept getting Oh Tofu's billy a while back and it was annoying, everyone was dead at like 4 or 5 gens remaining; like, there was no point in playing that game we couldn't DO anything.
I can now, but back then I couldn't, but it kept putting us against him and players like him anyways.
Don't get me wrong, I am not ignoring the fact that the queue times became absurd, and high MMR is boring and flooded with the same things generally- but the game IS supposed to be a challenge, for both sides. People like to use Dowsey's Twins as reference, but the guy like, never lost as Twins, most people honestly can't even compete against him. So having sweaty matches he gets destroyed in because Twins can't compete at high MMR, means twins obviously needs some work as a killer and should get it asap if bhvr really is dead set on their MMR plans. However the queue times are beyond functional, so that would need to be solved as well, if it can't be then they just can't push this system out the way it is, that wouldn't be fair. No one should have to wait that long, much less to get only competitive teams. (Even if eventually after several losses it would put him in a faster queue time and more decent bracket)
Like, I am for the fair game part of things, the problems people have are more with the balance of the killers, the wait times, and how boring high MMR gameplay tends to be. The thing is THESE ARE ALL FIXABLE PROBLEMS WHILE HAVING A FUNCTIONING MMR. Should they do those things first? Absolutely, but the point is it could be done well with a lot of work...but so much has to change to allow for it.....
I actually really like what the MMR test did. Because for the first time, it highlighted the most critical problems with the game as clear as day. BHVR can't deny things anymore, and use only statistics as their argument because we've seen the problems with high MMR gameplay, killer balances, and other problems visibly for the first time. Sure we KNEW about them before, but now it's observable to everyone.

I can see them not wanting to use bloodpoints because if you start doing that, especially frequently, one side is always going to have better addons/items or such than the other because of a long period of queue imbalance so maybe bloodpoints isn't a good idea.
However there is still tons of incentives they could use that work I imagine.

@OniWantsYourMacaroni If they offered Double Shards for EITHER SIDE, I'd hop on that so fast XD
