It's time to put your detective skills to work.

If you don't see a killer for a while at the start of the match, assume it is a trapper or hag at first setting up.

If you don't see a killer around, then it's time to get curious. It can be a Wraith camping an exit gate with NOED, or Pig crouching by an exit gate, or...

An insidious basement bubba. Seriously, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that there is a basement bubba, I still see several people fall for their antics.

If you don't see the killer for most of the game, check the basement to see if it is an insidious bubba. IF it is, then slam the gens and leave the game.

Just had a match where I knew it was a basement bubba so I walked down the basement stairs and heard him breathing in the far corner in front of a locker behind the wall. However, when I went upstairs to warn Yui cleansing a totem by telling her to come over, but for some reason she literally sprint burst down the stairs like she was expecting christmas presents. As she went down I literally laughed uncontrollably for about a minute, and then of course she killed herself. She then proceeded to wait until the game was over to insult me. She called me a "****dette" (a new insult) and sent me a few death threats, lmao as expected. But who the hell goes into the basement when there is a good chance of a basement bubba being there?

After she went down there, a Cheryl followed suit. Please, do not ever go into a basement if there is a good chance of basement bubba being there.

Fun fact: You can actually hear the basement dweller breathe if you actually pay attention.

PS: You might want to cleanse all totems in case of NOED in the endgame, some basement dwellers actually come out to catch unsuspecting survivors.
