High Mobility Killers and Exit Gate Spawns

If the game knows which killer is being used before the match even starts, then why are maps being generated with the exit gates three tiles apart on the same half of the map when the killer is Billy and Nurse?

Have you considered having gates spawn further apart for mobile killers, and closer together for slower killers who lack mobility from their power?

    Exit spawns are busted.

Sometimes you can see both of then from one spot, sometimes you just need to take a few steps and sometimes they are so far apart, its impossible to protect them.

They really need a change, for both sides.

I don't think the engine takes what the killer is into consideration when generating map tiles. I'm no expert in game engineering, but I feel like taking the killer into consideration when generating tiles would greatly increase the load time of matches. And while it's difficult, I have seen plenty of people successfully open exit gates in scenarios like this, you just gotta be pretty patient.

Would be nice if the exit gate lights did not light up to show progress when there is only one remaining survivor

IMO it is ok if high mobility Killers have an advantage. In the end, their mobility is part of their strengths and it should also matter during EGC.

The only problem I have is if Gates are so close to each other that the Killer basically does not have to move to watch them both. This is something which should change.

That's just how things happen, there's been plenty of times where the hatch spawns right next to the last survivor and I can't do anything about it.

Gate spawns in most maps are a blessing or curse of RNGesus.

Fair point, but also the reverse should be true too. Slow M1 killers probably shouldn't have to play on gigantic maps either.

I honestly can't say how annoying it is that the gates are where they are on Midwich. By far the worst gate placements, however I have the feeling it's because of the license that they had to put the gates where they are. Still annoying tho

The other extreme should be kinda fixed to as michael if ive killed 3 and close hatch and both gates are on opposite sides of autohaven im literally #########. Survivors failed to do the gens,They didnt find the hatch quick enough, but heres a 3rd option just open a gate because my slow ass can't move between both in time.

To be honest that's not any work actually, it's just milliseconds my dude. I don't know how much knowledge you have over protocols and the internet, but all clients (4 survivors and 1 killer) are connected in a "lobby" in their server region. The server knows ALL informations about all Survivor and the Killer connected, and can request any information it wants of any client connected to that lobby(it already does the first time you connect to a lobby). After everyone is ready, the server creates a "seed" I guess that it uses to generate the layouts of the map and sends it to all clients, where the game client receives the "seed" to genere the exact same map. It's not that complex, it's just they don't want to bother with it.

Well If there's only 1 left he's already dead anyway. Survivors already have the Hatch as an optional second chance(with keys included), adding another 50/50 to Exit Gates is just bullshit at this point.

The Killer needs to put effort to kill 3 Survivors, why should he be punished by negating him a kill with a 50/50 chance? At this point make the Exit Gates open automatically and let's just roll a red carpet for the Survivor when he's alone so that he has a fair escape 🤷‍♂️.

The gates on Midwich are the best consistent gate spawns in the game, and that's the only thing I'll give that map, because I truly despise it on both sides. They are not so far to where you literally cannot defend them, as there are two open doors and a small courtyard that leads right to them, but they aren't so close as to where the killer can defend by standing still.

And there are los blocker so you can't know if a survivor is opening the gate without being close. Which imo all gate should have. There's no reason you should be able to stand in one spot and see both gates.
