Name Something You Love About This Game
A long time ago, I made a thread about naming one thing you loved about DBD. Consider this the 2.0 version.
With all of the negativity surrounding the Trickster and other recent events, I figured it may be a nice change of pace to see what people truly love about the game, instead of hearing what they dislike. Consider it a way to spread some positivity for a change :)
I'll start:
I love how happy GhostFace looks when he t-bags and his sigh. Every time I hear it I think of this video. He sounds like a disappointed dad 😂

The things i love about this game the most is being able to punish a lot of cocky survivors and Killers

Archives guy - I really enjoy the way he narrates the stories, he seems to really put passion into it, but nobody really acknowledges him.

I enjoy the killers distinct design and personalities. It’s clear the art and lore team have a lot of passion for the characters they make and outdo themselves with each one
My favourites are still clown and deathslinger though

It's a tie between the Lore the game has and the purring sound Demo makes.
But there are so much things i love about this game i couldn't even list it !

I personally like the diversity in the characters! I know that diversity in a game like this isn't the most important thing but it's always really nice to see characters I can relate to

Chases. Thrilling, exciting, challenging, stressful and paranoid.

I really like the basic game design, which is probably why I'm hopelessly addicted to the game.
I love the characters (both killers and survivors), especially Jane <3.

The games lore.
An eldritch god that takes creatures and people from different worlds and dimensions and puts them together in endless trials to feed off of their suffering.

I'm a huge fan of the lore of the game, and also the visual design of the original killers. That's not to say I don't like the licensed ones, it's just BHVR didn't have too much to do with the design of them. The music is also pretty damn good.

I love when a Ghostface farms as he just looks so cute sat teabagging with the survivors. I like violently nodding at survivors and seeing them doing it back. Going against Michael. I’ll always get a thrill from seeing him stood in the distance stalking. He’s just so fun to play against. Shirtless David.

I love the base feel of the game. Getting a hit on a survivor, seeing them go down, grabbing them off a gen, the little clink or thud behind you when you vault a window/pallet just in time... it just feels good.

Honestly, I love everything about this game. But if I had to choose one thing, it would be DBD's gloomy and creepy ambience / atmosphere. Although, I think it used to look better:
I know it is just my opinion, but do you see what I mean? The old style is perfect, but the new one... just doesn't feel right.

I’m hoping they eventually implement the ability to change the menu theme as I would love to have the Hallowed Blight menu all year round.

The lore, especially with original characters. It's fun world building, and what got me into the game to begin with

One other thing.
Being able to queue as Survivor or killer, unlike F13 where it was blind luck who would get to be jason. If I want to play with a team, I go Survivor, if I'm not feeling particularly happy about being a team player I can queue as killer and get the experience I want.

The licenses. It's really awesome when something new and iconic gets added.
The original killer's design and concepts(not gameplay) can be hit or miss but when they hit they hit for damn sure. I don't play Deathslinger, but I grew to appreciate him, he's a genuinely uniquely designed killer. Same for Huntress, Wraith, and Oni. They have really unique aesthetics and designs.
I also enjoy the diversity in the cast, representation is always nice. Though maybe not if they're a bloodthirsty psychotic killer lol.

I like people that arent afraid to let their guard down. I was roleplaying as a blendette on yamoaka against a myers and every chase id run and duck in a bush, and eventually he started being nice rather than tryhard and he thought it was funny.
I also had a game where a survivor is on a hill and I cba walking around just for her to drop so I motion with my weapon for her to come down, and to my surprise she did 🤣 I let her go for that
But I have no issues with sweaty games either. I like it when someone plays well and they dont feel the need to tbag at the end. Someone who you remember for their skill rather than their attitude. I still remember one survivor who was like a damn bot, they made NO MISTAKES whatsoever. Not once. I hope it wasnt a stretched res user lol. Normally you can get a survivor to make one mistake but not this one. Like 3000 hours on survivor alone. They were a swf but not toxic, no tbagging, just really good players, and thats what I remember them for playing wel, rather than remembering them as just another toxic swf

Or at least, i count the dev team as part of the game, but if that doesn't count for y'all, then i'll just say Devour Hope.

Really though, I love the setting and atmosphere and concept of the game because I'm a huge horror fan. There's just no other games out there like dbd.

i love Deathslingers dirty laugh when he gets someone.
i generally realy like it when killers show their emotions by giggeling, so same goes for Doctor or Trickster.
