The hidden Survivorrulebook problem in DBD

PNgamer Member Posts: 1,415

Hi,

we all know it..... why tunnel ? why camp ? (yes it is a bad strategy i know but we have tools in DBD and it is legit ) or it doesn´t matter wich decision you make as a killer. Someone will allways get mad and crying like a Baby. That´s a standard process in DBD at the momend

Siriously : I play how i want and .....

I PLAY KILLER, NOT BUTLER FOR SURVIVORS.

Thank you

Just a piece of second-hand history, take it with a grain of salt as I was not there, just heard in streams.

When DBD was young and many mechanics were not really sorted by the devs, the community was small enough so that many players played against and with each other repeatedly. Then the game started to mature and many discoveries were made such as looping pallets instead of just dropping and running (believe it, there were times killers would get mad in the forums if you looped a pallet). Infinites were discovered along with techs/strategies such as slugging, pallet vacuum, tunneling, etc.

At that time, it became a general consensus in that small community to avoid using some strategies as not to ruin the other side as most knew each other, and that was fine for the time. Those were the survivor and killer rulebooks, developed by a tight group of people who knew and interacted frequently with each other. Survivors would avoid using infinites, killers would not tunnel, so on and so forth.

As DBD grew into something more, so did its community. Maps are being reworked to remove exploitable structures and settings by the survivors, and the rulebooks are a mere historic artifact. Many new players have no idea of why the rulebooks exist or misinterpret rules that once guided a small group of players.

The books are gone, play as you wish. Just don't take hatred for something that helped a small group of strangers have fun in a game that was once new.

If you believe tunneling and camping is an actual strategy be prepared why your camping I'm doing gens why your tunneling I am running you not for seconds but for generators if you can't find anyone just patrol gens it is simple and any decent killer will tell you gen patrol is the means to stopping gen rush hit some one once then on to the next one but making some one depip because you can't catch a survivor is selfish all I can say is git gud cause or no invest n your killers perks if you can't afford to then play survivor untill you can please tunnel me and I will watch my friends pop 2 to three gens while your still chasing me people like you are the reason people won't play or quit this game just got good and enjoy flashlights cause if your toxic I'm worse

Tunneling and camping how does that make me entitled let me get this straight cause I don't like being camped or tunneled and refuse to tunnel or camp that makes me entitled wow you got your idea of entitlement wrong please tunnel me I beg you to is that entitlement

For me it is a sense of honor I want everyone to have fun and I feel as killer this is my job to not bully or torture people I never get cursed as killer survivor I get cursed all the time and reported for looping I find it funny but I have no mercy with toxic killers and they always get mad open the gate give up when three gens pop and no hooks I just don't see why if you feel you have to tunnel check your build

You need to use punctuation. It's hard to understand what you're saying.

Sounds like you play alot of trashcans. If I see you can run me for longer than X amount of time I'll make you watch me kill your team saving you for last. Even the great survivors make a mistake or too at some point. Helping another is where is ussually happens killers should learn this.

one thing is you don't like it and another is you wanted it gone.

So because a mechanism in a game is broken and many killers and survivors agree makes people that don't want it n the game period makes all those people entitled you don't make sense you got your idea of entitlement all wrong wanting everyone to enjoy themselves including you makes me entitled you know how bad I feel when I'm playing solo survivor and the only one that dies is some yellow rank that should not of been n my lobby n the first place and you can't help them cause the killer is hard tunneling them or won't chase me cause they don't know how to break loops I hate bullies

If you don't mind can I ask you a question. Are you really for people playing how they want?

If you were as good as you claim you would not have posted almost double digit times about tunneling. No one escapes every match nor 4k in every match but giving yourself the best opportunity in a time crunching 4v1 game is what all killers have to figure out. The best way is no not get caught up chasing 1 person especially at the start of the trial when there are resources galore and 3 on gens. There are times where killers can get 12 hooks but that says more about the survivors than the killer (most of the time). There is just not enough time with certain killers to get 12 hooks so if there is an opportunity to eliminate or slug it must be done. I'm glad your confident in your abilities but you have 3 teammates to share the load and no pressure at the start of a trial. Killers have the weight of the world soon as the loading screen hits. I will probably have a heart attack within five years.

Camping and tunneling is boring, so is organised toolbox genrush SWFs.

Both sides make up arbitrary rules. Just ignore them. Its in the game to be used. If it wasn't it'd be removed.

Butler, nice. I consider it babysitting. Or playing entertainer.

That's why I do what I want. Usually that's getting a few kicks as tier 1 Myers while the survivors aren't expecting it, then putting the controller down until the next match when I get a fresh batch I can sneak up on. I enjoy being a spooky lurking Myers and maybe getting a gen grab or two, that's what entertains me these days. If they're all running Spine Chill (which has gotten more common) I barely see them if at all and usually just go into wait-mode early, which is probably boring for them, but hey, they ran a perk that counters my playstye, and I don't feel like changing my playstyle to accommodate them, so hooray for them, it worked, they got to hold M1 on gens and I got to relax and watch videos while giving my hands a break... I still feel like I won in that scenario lol.

What the game needs is fun animations like mori'ing survivors but without actually killing them and taking them out of the match. Some environmental interactivity or dismemberment, I dunno, something more interesting than swinging a weapon just to get a scream and a speed burst would be nice.

Lol during rush hours when I feel tired from red rank swf bully squads I will use face camp bubba with light born. Works very good wheen survivors think they can use flashlight blind u then save only to find that I downed the savior, saved and flashlight user in 1 saw and go kill the 4th survivor. So satisfying 😙🤣😂🤡

I think tunneling and camping is the easiest skill to have and shows exactly how much the killer actually enjoys the game beyond "I'll stand here."

This is mostly true but leaves out the blame. The devs themselves have created the time crunch that forces “ruthless” killers and “gen rush” survivors. There just isn’t enough leeway for either side to breath.

Match pacing and the $&/“@& matchmaking has caused 99.999% of the problems players have issues with. Just mho

You mean the survivor rule book that killers invented?

Cuz us skilled survivors are doing just fine over here.

    How is your head?
