Spine Chill is one of the best perks in Red Ranks

I think a lot of people have this idea that Spine Chill is a baby Survivor perk that encourages people to hide in corners because they're too afraid to look around them to see where the Killer is.

But its actually an extremely greedy perk that allows Survivors to leave at the last possible second, get clutch vaults and finish heals/gens/totems in the Killer's face. If you use Spine Chill well, you'll do the exact opposite of running early, you'll know the precise second to greed until you're forced to leave and you'll never to have to guess if the Killer knows where you are.

It is already seen as that by most good survivors actually. It's just not meta enough for most people to run it, but it's an amazing perk that used to get many nerf request threads by salty killers in this forum daily.

"and you'll never to have to guess if the Killer knows where you are"

The fact that this is really accurate about why i use spine chill scared me a little bit not gonna lie

Honestly, I've used Spine Chill to guess a Killer's perks and add-ons so many times its ridiculous.

Because the perk will tell you if a Killer knows something they shouldn't know and then your brain can start triangulating the answer. I've even correctly predicted Rancor before the last gen while not being the Obsession in solo queue a few times

Spine chill is a perk i always run, it just has it uses in every matches. Whether its for getting that extra bit of progress on a gen or to get a faster vault. There's never a time where i feel like im getting no value. Its not strong enough to be nerfed tho.

The mods don't like me I guess?

The post doesn't belong here but @MandyTalk moved my post here within a minute of it being posted... so early I highly doubt they even read it.

    It belongs in general discussions

Maybe they thought it was a 'pls nerf' thread?

Anyway, I fell in love with Spine Chill when I got it. Aside from the greed moments, it is also just phenomenal for figuring out the killer's intel perks, as mentioned, and it's great for stealth play. If a killer is keeping an eye on the hook, Spine Chill lets me know, so I don't fall into a trap when I go for the unhook.

It's also amazing against stealth killers like Wraith, Pig, Myers or Ghostface.

Spine Chill should be considered meta. I run it on all my survivors and feel naked without it. How is knowing when the killer is looking at you and having increased action speed a bad perk? I don't agree that "You can just use your eyes and ears and then you don't need Spine Chill." You'll never get snuck up on with this perk, even if the killer has Tinkerer or is playing a stealth killer where they literally don't have sound or red stain.
