Some survivor perk rebalances

These are just some ideas for perks reworks I have. Feel free to discuss these in the comments

Solidarity: when healing someone with or without a medkit you have a conversion rate of 50%/60%/70%. Survivors you are healing have their pain grunt volume reduced by 25%/50%/75%

Distortion: You start the trial with 3/4/5 tokens. Every time your aura gets revealed by the killer you use a token. Your aura and scratch marks are then lost for 5/7/10 seconds. Every 30 seconds you are in the killers terror radius while out of chase gain a token

Autodidact: You start the Trial with a -25 % Progression penalty for Skill Checks to heal Survivors For every successful Skill Check completed while healing a Survivor, you receive a Token for a maximum of 3/4/5 Tokens.

  • Each Token grants you a +15 % bonus Progression for a successful Skill Check while healing Survivors. Increases skill check odds by 10/15/20% while healing

Poised: Whenever a generator is completed you and allies within 10m of you leave no scratch marks for 6/8/12 seconds. This effect persists 15 seconds after they leave the area of effect

    I would put the recharge rate of Distortion on 1 minute, based on the fact you already have 5 tokens at the start of a match.

    There needs to be a reason to use the other aura blocking perks, like Sole Survivor and the Off The Record.


    I would further change Windows of Opportunity and Visionary to get rid of the cooldown. And give Windows the ability to counter fake pallets, and maybe even to show if windows are sealed.

    This last thing I would also wish for Zanshin Tactics, and maybe go even further and make it work with Plague, so it shows infected windows and vaults.

    I would love that kind of interaction in perks.

    Yup, I watch him too. I actually use Windows from time to time myself, but I just don't like the cooldown on it.

    I like these changes. But for Solidarity i would just make it have 100% conversion rate when healing and have a cooldown when your fully healed.

    THe autodidact change is a bit extreme. Remember that it ticks for skill check chances every second. It's meant to be a glass canon perk.

    Solidarity and Autodidact changes are great, introduces a potential stealth healing perk and makes autodidact have increased skill check odds, something it should have had from day one.

    The Distortion change is pretty good but would need a longer time requirement for more tokens to prevent someone from sitting on the edge of your terror radius and farming so many stacks that they'll never be found for the rest of the game.

    Little conflicted on the poised change, it has the potential to be pretty rough if three or four people are on a gen and everybody just scatters denying the killer multiple chase opportunities just because one person decided to bring poised. But on the other hand that situation will probably only happen once or twice per match if at all. So it seems pretty fair.

    Overall really great stuff. And the best part is they are all pretty non intensive changes, so hopefully the devs can implement something similar for the next time they balance some perks in 2025.

    A solidarity buff is something we've always wanted, but I don't really get the point of the grunts of pain volume reduction. Why not a plain 100%, or at least 95%, conversion rate?

    As for distortion, I think we have enough terror radius token perks. Perhaps we could try basing it off of seconds in chase, instead of the terror radius.

    The autodidact change sounds great, but I think the skillcheck odds bonus might be a bit overkill. The altruistic healing skillcheck chance is 15%, and so a 35% chance for a skillcheck every second still fails to address the issue of sometimes RNGesus will smile upon you, other times it'll refuse to pay up. What about, in addition to perhaps a 5% increase to base chance (to 20%), every skillcheck chance that doesn't pull up up a skillcheck increases the probability of getting a skillcheck by 10%, which is completely dropped to the default percentage after. hitting a skillcheck? That would mean that a skillcheck is absolutely guaranteed in 8 seconds, halfway through the heal, meaning that you can complete the heal. If a guaranteed 8 second heal seems a bit overpowered, maybe reduce the skillcheck probability increase or decrease the amount of skillcheck progression bonus per token.

    The fundamental issue with poised is the same issue with dark sense. It activates a maximum of 5 times per match, and isn't even that much of a boon. I would probably shoot up the time of no scratch marks up to 30, 40, or even 50 seconds. Even then, there's still the issue of difficult activation.

    Solidarity having a 100% conversion rate would be a bit overkill and pretty much double your healing speed in a lot of cases

    Figured since we already have stake out it would be very easy to program this into distortion as well but chases could work too

    Can’t imagine how long the description of autodidact would be but that’s a great change to help fix its rng problem

    I feel like poised will be maybe used with my buff but yours is overkill since scratch marks are so integral to the game as a whole

    For Autodidact, I'd rather have it guarantee a skill check every X seconds of healing than leaving it up to chance.

    For Visionary: Perhaps have it show regressing generators in a different aura, and add "When repairing a regressing generator, immediately get a skill check with a 15/20/25% bigger great skillcheck success zone." and hitch the cooldown onto that.

    Poised and solidarity are probably going to be a bit brute strength, now that I think of it, but I think they'd still be too situational to work. When they do work, hooray, when they don't, oh well.

    Alternative idea for Autodidact: Gain a token when you finish healing a survivor. To guarantee you can stack it up.
