remove the SHIFT BUTTON WHEN YOU ARE IN THE DYING STATE!!!!!
well title says it all. If you are in the dying state and you are holding shift i cant HEAL YOU!!!
FOR GOD SAKE why is everyone holding shift just make it so shift wont stop the healing (only on dying state)
For an example on the last game i played i went to heal david who was like 95% on the dying state no killer heart beat when i get there i heal him a little then he starts to hold shift so i lose like 2 seconds on that the killer is coming its only like 1 sec left on the healing and instantly after i get him up i take a hit from the killer which might have been avoided since there was a fall 2 meters away and i could have used my BL and gotten away i get it if you have a medkit and want me to 99 you on the heal so you can use deadhard then pop the heal but for god sake there isn't really any need to be able to block someone from picking you up with shift

I’m on console. What contextual action is Shift?

Sprinting

Oh ok.
Yeah that’s dumb. Why on earth are survivors holding that button down while in the dying state?
6 -
Could just be subconscious or the survivor wanted to sprint immediately as soon as he got up. Still annoying but I can see why it might happen.

There are certain scenarios where it makes sence to hold shift while beeing in the dying state. For example when you play the flip flop/power struggle/tenacity build and the killer is near by. In that case you want to crawl under the pallet and then possibly get healed up, because if the survivor can't heal you in time and you didn't get to the pallet because can't hold shift while getting healed your situation would get even worse.
I can definitely understand your frustration because that happens actually pretty often that people already want to start running even though they're not fully healed yet and that may lead to another down or a lost ooportunity.
But as said above removing the ability to hold shift to interrupt healing isn't the best idea imo.

I was wondering why I couldn't heal a random last night lol. I thought it was because I had self care messing me up, but I was literally plastered to this guy and the prompt wouldn't pop.

Oh, it is the reason sometimes I suddenly stop healing a Survivor in the dying state? I never understood what happened.
If they hold shift to be ready to sprint, I do agree it shouldn't prevent from healing. Unless they want to stay in the dying state. 🤷🏻♀️

I do it when a survivor in a chase is going to pop me up in front of the killer and I'm just going to immediately be downed again when there's 2 other survivors that could pop me up safely if the chased survivor would leave the area.
Have also done it when I have a reverse bear trap that's activated, I'll prevent being picked up until I'm close to a box because as long as I'm on the ground the trap is paused.

Yes, very annoying...It's usually a Meg ready to sprint burst 😁

Don't remove it, it's good for stopping bad survivors from doing bad revives ie. if they pick you up now the killer will down you again right away regardless
They should add something similar to hooks IMO
3 -
this might be shocking to some of you, but ever considered the survivor does not want to be healed? much like im still waiting for the option to deny a (farming/unsafe) unhook
3 -
Ooh he wanted to be healed because he let me heal him held shift for 2 sec then let me heal him again im 100% sure he wanted to be healed becasue if he did it would have been a 100% escape anyways
2 -
They should on hooks but then trolls would abuse it so...
1 -
yea but it wasnt a farm rev either he did it when there was no heartbeat or anything then he let shift go so i could pick him up when the killer came .-.

No you shouldn't, there are some scenarios where the shift button is needed. For example, you're sitting in an exit gate in the dying state and a genius survivor decides to heal you while the killer is coming. You could've crawled away if it wasn't for that survivor
But you can simply hold shift and escape.

I'm not trying to let you farm me. No way.
There SHOULD be a hooked equivalent of this that prevents people from "rescuing" me right in front of the killer.
