The perk Surge should activate for else than a basic attack (M1)
I dont mean necessary to a M2 and M1 activate surge, but my idea was to create a new category: "basic weapon", because I would love to use surge especcially on blight, demogorgon and pig, and dont worry to use the M2 attack and it doesnt activate surge, but i think that would be kinda strong (not OP or anything even because there is a 60 s cooldown, which could be reduced to 40s in my opinion) on instadowns or long distance powers, like the billy's and bubba's chainsaw, oni's power weapon and huntress hatchets, so the concept of this "basic weapon" in simple terms, its the weapon that you costumizes in the lobby. that would make the perk a lot better and it can be a more fun perk to go against as well. by the way, that could work with sloppy butcher as well. anyways, thats my idea and I would love to see it in game.

This is an ongoing issues with a lot of killers with power's. So many killer builds and killer bloodweb's are gunked up with useless perks that simply do not play well with a large majority of killers. Maybe the reason perks like ruin see so much play is down to the perk functioning in a core position that other killers desperately need's filling. I remember playing huntress and getting crap for running ruin and my immediate reaction was what would you suggest I run instead. To which they named surge, pop, thanatophobia even tho most of these don't work because
a. Pop is adding to your downtime of on top of reloading also taking up time.
b. Surge doesn't work because of the m1 condition being hard to achieve as a 110 ms killer.
c. Thanatophobia doesn't return any results unless you have the mangled hatchets to help (used to with old sloppy).

so you think surge should aply to hatchets also for example? im not agaisnt this idea, and if thats your point, well, im a billy main, so, I would kinda like to see surge in powers also, but its hard to balance perks like surge when the instadown hatchets also exist - Which would work really close to a ruin, but would not be a totem, except for the 200% regression - (you can see right away that my only issue with surge aplying to M2 are the instadowns). by the way, who cares if they blame you for running ruin, just run whatever you want, thats your game not theirs, survivor love to blame killers playstyle, perks and power for their own mistakes made.

I mean lets be real here no ones defending iri heads instadown hatchets are broken with anything discordance infectious fright etc. I don't much care for the whining of the survivor but it really got me thinking why is there so much chaff perks for huntress and how is this a healthy concept going forward. So many killers how even remotely down with there powers are extremely pushed to use non m1 basic atk conditions which is not helpful for killer playstyle diversity.
