Will the Blindness status effect ever get a buff?

I'd personally like to see it effect Detection Perks like Premonition, Spine Chill, and Small Game. I really want to see blindness blinds be more common and viable. Maybe have them hide hook bubbles as well as auras to make it more of a threat? Just a few suggestions. I'd personally love to see some of the communities suggestions on how to make it stronger.

    I'd like it if it reduced the FOV for survivors when effected by it, that would possibly make it worthwhile on some killers.

    Honestly people really underrate blindness. I just think the addons need to last longer ( Looking at you kerosene can!)

    The point of those perks is to be reliable and not affected by things like Blindness, Undetectable etc. Also making them hide hook bubbles would also be crossing a line in Solo Queue.

    I would say Blindness doesn't need buffs, its purpose is to counter aura reading by survivors just like other status effects counter other things. The problem is that aura reading isn't used much by survivors so applying Blindness to them is usually not worth the effort or the investment. As long as second chance perks dominate the survivor builds Blindness will stay unused, no matter how we tweak it.

    As an example, personally I still wouldn't use any Blindness perks even if they implemented all your suggestions. It would still be an unnecessary investment because nearly no one uses aura reading these days.

    It would be nice for killers to have something to counter spine chill other than moonwaking to gens like an idiot. Imo that change might be better applied to the Undetectable status. But either way I like these ideas.

    I mean I personally do Hex: The Third Seal, with Hex: Undying, Knockout, and whatever 4th perk. It works very well and makes slugging more intense. But like I said it could use some buffs. Having SOME counter to detection perks like Spine Chill other than moonwalking may make more appealing to the average killer.

    Blindness, Haemorrhage, Luck should be reworked into something more meaningful

    Blindness could hide killer's red stance because why not

    Heamorrhage could regress any unfinished heal

    Luck could affect chest item rarity at least

    All of those are really good suggestions but hiding the red stain I think should only be reserved for the undetectable status personally. The other 2 suggestions are really good though.

    It doesn't need a buff. Not being able to see where your teammates are is hugely disruptive, unless it's swf which counters everything anyway.

    Very true but its also very disruptive to swf. Most games are 2 duos and 2 solos or a 3 man with a solo. Which in those cases they might be able to find their friends but the other players are screwed. 4 man swf account for less than 10% of all games but depending on the map blindness can still cause a lot of issues.

    Blindness is incredibly strong. Unfortunately though, you have no idea whether the survivor team is a SWF in voice chat or not which makes it a huge gamble every match you decide to use it.

    i would like to see blindness also hide the red stain would be a fair buff to blindness that affects both solo and swf and would make the gameplay more challenging for the survivors.

    Before anyone say we have undetecatable that does that so blindness doesnt need to do red stain i would like to point out that oblivious hides terror radius but keeps red stain so why not have blindness that removes red stain but keep terror radius so to keep it simple what we would have is:

    Undetecatable: gets rid of both TR and RS

    Oblivious: gets rid of TR

    "new" Blindness: gets rid of RS

    want to quickly point out oblivious gets rid of TR which undeteactable also does so why cant we have blindness getting rid of red stain?

    I refuse to believe that 4-man SWF appears that rarely. It feels like 1 in 5 games I get them, and half my games on a bad day.

    I would like it if Blindness had no effect on survivor aura's and instead just messed with vision an skillet aura's. Right now, it pretty much just exists to 4-person slug solo teams.

    Honestly, the best they could do is just buff it to make the survivors' screens darker when they have the blindness effect. For example, the effect that happens after getting M1 downed by Knock Out could be permanent until the survivor gets out of the blindness effect. Though that would probably make The Third Seal annoying to play against.
