So when the new DS comes out
I don't want to see a single complaint if you get unhooked and go onto a gen, totem, whatever and the killer goes for you.
you could have got a survivor to heal you, went to a different spot on the map to heal, or at the least you could have went to a different generator then the one you were on that the killer will obviously check.
Like i don't know about you guys but if i see a recently unhooked and injured survivor performing an interaction that would deactivate DS besides healing since i find that one BS i will gladly go after them and hook them.
I am SO fed up with how DS has been used over the years especially when it is used to do generators that i seriously don't care how much any survivor finds it BS when i will do this.
For all you cocky survivors that will inevitably do this you have been warned.

At least the killer will be able to kill them instead of just having to ignore/slug them.
Also against chase focused killers that is a terrible idea especially against say nurse or spirit.

I know for a fact there will be threads demanding the devs revert the DS change. Anytime they make a major change like this there are people who yell at it. Regardless if the change is actually good for the game.
Evil Genius 2 comes out tomorrow so I'll be playing that instead. When I'm done with it I might come back to killer. "might".

Decisive Strike deserves to be nerfed. But, I don't agree that performing these 'interactions' should deactivate the perk immediately because it may result in some inconsistency such as; the player refusing to do any objectives for a minute to keep their DS active or leaving the killer second guess themselves thinking the player 'wasted' their DS but didn't, Instead I think doing these interactions should speed up DS's countdown by a hefty percentage.

She touched a gen because she didn't think I was going to tunnel her out, which I did. Do you honestly think killers don't choose to tunnel someone out of the game? That it is always the survivor's fault? Because that is what I was trying to get at.

I am simply stating that Tunneling isn't as black and white as some of you seem to think. There is an abusive element which you (like others) refuse to discuss because you know that it is the same BS you complain about that DS supposedly gets.
If someone touched a gen for 1 second, that doesn't progress the game to something that would amount to "time lost" as a killer. I mean if that was the case, every killer would kick a 1% gen. Which if you do, then all I have to say is ..... "Choices". If someone repaired for at least 20 seconds of their DS timer then yes I would probably agree more.
There are ways a killer can track a survivor without needed to go back to hook, like bringing Nurses, Whispers, etc and it's not hard to memorize who just got unhooked. So while I am not saying that they shouldn't have looked into DS, I am also not going to sit around and pretend like it couldn't have been changed a bit different, let alone the fact that they did nothing to slow down the action of tunneling itself.

if she tapped a gen then that's just a natural thing from when you could do so survivors should learn not to do that.
Also 20 seconds? hell no it should be at max 3 survivors should not be able finish off a close to complete gen. I'm not against this but no real progress should be allowed.

I am not asking for your argument to change, I see very clear that you are unable to see the other side's opinion to further continue the discussion.
Saying things like "It is the survivor's fault" because the killer chooses to ignore everyone else in their path, only to hunt down that same survivor whose feet barely touched the ground after being unhooked 10 seconds ago, isn't even an argument of how bad of an argument it is.
The devs obviously created a timer for DS because they knew killers would not straight off tunnel off hook every single time.

They also didnt expect survivors to use it to just get 60 seconds off a gen or do other stuff progressing the game state. This coming from someone who uses ds at red. The amount of times ive dsd the killer without them actually tunneling is halarious. Ive unhooked 2 survivors done 30 seconds off a gen killer came by and i locker dsd him and booked it.

Im saying they shouldn't risk deactivating it in your example DS would be active and if it isn't then the survivor is progressing the game by cleansing, repairing, or unhooking.
the only thing i don't like about new DS is healing deactivating it and as said i'm not against a stopping measure for interactions such as a total of 3 seconds before the perk deacuvates.
But if a survivor deactivates the perk they are responsible for the outcome sure the killer can tunnel but here's a question did that survivor deactivate it in under 40 seconds? During that time they can get healed and reposition themselves and from that point even if they are tunneled the result will be the same as old DS where they will get picked up past the 60 second mark.
The game doesn't need ANY forum of protection for survivors who try to progress the game once they commit to a totem. gen, or save they are fair game.

Right, and so have I. But guess what? Most of them were bad killers. The ones that weren’t knew when to slug and when not to pick up.
I would have rather them shave time off the activation timer than nit-pick the eff out of how it can supposedly be abused (especially with the healing one) because they don’t have a clear way of knowing when it is someone tapping in your face vs a killer seeking you out while you just tapped a gen. There is virtually no way for the game to know this.
All while again, they are still doing nothing to address straight up tunneling.

I feel like ds will never reach a point where it cant be abused. BUT it still deters actual tunnelers. For instance the shaving off the time say they lowered it to like 50 seconds. Ive had tunnel chases last minutes! Killers still tunneling me but ds doesn't help me once i go down. I know people suggested now with these limitations give it a infinite timer so if the killers actually tunneling they can't really avoid it. But the most common retort is people would just run around as a nuisance. (I dont see a problem with it thats one less person on gens). Things like ds is why i like being 50/50 because i can understand both sides but in this both have shown problems with ds's existance.

Deterring actual tunnelers would require it to work on 1st and 2nd hook. As killer I am cappable of going back to hook on 1st and 2nd hook stage.
My biggest problem is one side's "issue" is addressed while the other remains the same. This is a problem with a lot of things actually. Because even when Ruin got nerfed, I was for a buff on it as well. I understood why they felt the need to change it, but they should have also compensated with something else.
I had no problems with the previous DS (meaning the one before today's change), and that may be because I rarely go back to hook. Even then I knew when not to pick up so I had survivors salty commenting over me knowing how to counter their timer. Because apparently not a lot of killers do that? Idk.
I respecfully blame the design team because none of these things would be available if the game had proper design. I'm not just talking about just perks, but also actions within the game, and the game not being able to distinguish abuse vs options.
