Bubba (Cannibal/Leatherface) is A tier

To Start off, Leatherface for 3 years was underwhelming Killer and had the nickname of a "Weaker Billy" but it all changed when his rework hit. I am a rank 1 Killer currently and used to main Billy(Old) but now with the nerf making him a Killer that needs Skill but has an easy counterplay despite according to BHVR he's still an "Easy Killer"(I loved Crackhead Billy, RIP you will be missed) Leatherface became stronger so I mained him for 3 days straight and I am falling in love with this KIller!

Leatherface for me is an A tier right now and I'm going to list everything that he can do:

  • He can create Dead Zones early in the match making late game easy.
  • He can get Early Downs as it's either a chainsaw up a survivor butt or eating a pallet.
  • the God of Camping as he can down the saver and catch the unhooked survivor even with BT (need a purple addon for this tho)
  • Great Mindgame potential as 80% of Survivor will think that if you chainsaw you will go straight but you can do something like this

  • Can Actually Counter "Holding W" strat as he can go as fast as someone with Sprint Burst.
  • Can actually counter Dead Hard as how can someone Dead Hard the Chainsaw? also No Dead Hard for distance as you can just catch up to them or break the pallet quick.
  • The best reason imo is Playing Bubba normally makes you not think, you can just chainsaw every pallet and let the survivor block the windows then eventually the chainsaw will be up their butts.

The only downside I'm seeing right now is Map control but with tinkerer or other perks that will help you sneak up to the Generator you can just do something like this

and at the end of the day you're having fun but the Survivors probably aren't.

so tl:dr Leatherface is A tier, Friendship ended with Billy

no he isnt. even though he is a low tier killer, you still fukin die to him no matter what

That's where mindgame potential comes in but let's be honest the loop you're describing sounds like a crappy RNG that the game always have but is rare I think. in that case I'll just leave the survivor then catch them off guard with tinkerer.

They did a really good job on his rework. I play a lot of bubba at rank 1 and can say he's definately above average on terms of power.

I'd tend to agree he's probably at tier A with someone who knows how to use the charges to the most optimal. For someone new with him he can be awful because of the sometimes janky saw hitboxes and not timing the charges correctly.

He's not op though. Good loopers can turn him into an m1 killer if they can get to the windows. You have to know the times where you can get a saw vs using the m1 because that can waste a lot of time.

He's a good killer yes, either high B or low A tier.

I find him to be B tier personally mainly due to the fact that his chainsaw even when very strong for snowball isn't as powerfull as other chase powers in DBD so really good survivor will loop LF for a while if tiles are even slightly favorable. Besides that he doesn't have any mobility, location abilities or stall so for me he can't be higher than B.

But I'm not a god LF player so I might be missing some tricks that push him higher.

if you die no matter what to him, doesn't it make him a high tier killer then?

I have to disagree, bubba destroys solos and average surviors( but what killer doesnt?)

Against good swf or good loopers he sucks. Bamboozle is a must otherwise killer shack jungle gyms and T Ls aren't giving you the mindgame oppertunity for a chainsaw. Good survivors will just use windows and move to another title without the need of pallets.

Leatherface is way stronger and a lot of fun but he gets gen rushed and countered very easily.

i usually loop him for like 2 gens and get facecamped, then my teammates try to save me and then all of them get downed. he isnt a high tier killer, its just that people abuse certain mechanics as him

another reason why I said that Bubba has a great mindgame potential is because most people are expecting Bubbas to dumb and quite direct but for example here

A Bubba that survivor expects would just go in the shack and bump into the wall/window but if you mindgame once in a while you'll get the result of the gif (note: Laurie was a good Survivor and rank 1 at that.

Most Killers get an average of 70% 4ks per match. Spirits and Freddys are probably getting closer to 80% 4ks. Clowns are probably getting 60% 4ks. Bubba is probably getting 72% 4ks. So they all slaughter survivors, it's just Spirits and Freddys slaughter survivors harder.

With a good headset you can hear if he is getting closer along with his direction, that luarry reacted too late and should have vaulted earlier not to mention there is plenty of distance inside shack to get a fast vault before the saw hits you she vaulted way too early.

Still she messed up and you capitalize on it as a good LF should.

This is just my opinion again but there's really a small percentage of survivors who listen to sound while being chased like I can understand listening for Clown grunts and Demo Roars but its kinda hard listening to sound of the chainsaw while chase music is happening and Bubba is "Grgrgrggrgegggagggrjjs" and you know for sure that his near.

Still even then you shouldn't get hit in shack as you can wait in side and fast vault on reaction if he gets too close, vault then run around the building or revault.

I have ran a lot of bubs's and not once has this sort of mindgame worked on me because shack is pretty safe against this unless if the LF maybe uses speed addons.

Windows even with bamboozle still counter his chainsaw though. On a map like lery's or autohaven you are going to have a rough time since there are plenty of windows for survivors to use. He unlike billy doesn't have map control which is actually a really big deal. being able to get across the map and scare survivors off of generators is a huge deal, more than you probably think. He also has his chainsaw to use in a chase and unless the survivor is good, you will be able to curve around obstacles and down survivors.

He's the ultimate swf counter and he's very reliable if you need a kill fast. He's def low A or high B tier.

I think Bubba with no add ons is just OK. A mid-high tier.

When Chilli comes into play he becomes a real force to be reckoned with if the killer knows how to get around loops without banging the saw on the loop. Chilli add ons and Bamboozle? RIP
