Why does the censor even exist??
It's bad enough that we can't disable it.
But isn't this game rated for mature players? If you can't handle language, I don't think that's very mature.

Does it really matter?
The answer is no, not really.
I can't see curse words, oh god, what am I gonna do. Being able to disable it is a fine ask, but it should also be an option for people who don't want to see that kinda crap. It doesn't just block ######### and shits but things like slurs.

Just saw the word "downs" get censored. Was literally talking about the killer getting downs, etc and it got censored lmfao.
Absolute joke! You can tell they put literally zero thought into what words should be banned and just went with a blanket template thats not fit for purpose.

The chat filter on the forums isn't nearly as bad. The in game censor is FAR too sensitive.
It does matter. It blocks more than "curse words". If people don't want to see it, then there's already a button to hide the chat.

I just said "you didn't pick me up" in the post game chat and the "pick me up" got censored. What's the point of that? Why can't we at least disable this stupid filter? This is getting more and more ridiculous.

The censor is something that we are monitoring, there will be adjustments made if need be.

They should at least allow us to talk about the game in the endgame chat! Its the most useless and lazy attempt i've seen them do.
They usually screw things up, thats not surprising, but theres usually at least an attempt made. This was just pointless and idiotic imho

The problem with the censor is that it's too heavily censored, some words that aren't even bad words to begin with are getting censored

Back in my day, there was no moderation. People these days are too sensitive about things. Personally i don't think games should ever moderate like that. Give people the ability to mute/ignore people, and if they don't like people say, mute them and move on with your life.

Well, it's the devs' choice. Personally, I think it'll make the chat a lot better. Sure, it could (and should) be optional, but beyond that (and the filter blocking words it shouldn't), I think it's a definite improvement.

I just found "downs" is a forbidden word which I found it funny because I was saying to my teammates how a Killer got 3 downs last match thanks to Starstruck "yeah they were ready to body block and he got Starstruck with Mad Grit so he got 3 ***** (downs) out of 1, didnt end well obviusly".
I fully understand the negative use some people can give to such a word but I believe in this game is used in the context of downing people after hitting them, as a matter of fact Ive never seen anyone using it in the despective way I believe the devs censored it for, could it be possible to allow for it again?.

And you want to decide for others what words they want to be able to see? Why not just make chat filter an option, whoever does not like it can disable it on their end and everybody's happy. Why would there be any issue with that?

Why do you care why it matters for others? It obviously does. It's not like you have to understand this or try to convince people. People want the option to disable the filter and I don't see a reason why that option would not be given to them.
