The Trickster is Better than Huntress
Hi all! Ive started playing the game recently and have been enjoying huntress and got excited to see the trickster be added to Dead By Daylight. I decided to pick him up and hes WAAYY better than Huntress! It makes me kind of sad to see Huntress go down a notch with his release but hes SOO good! If you still like Huntress that's fine but I think Trickster is just better now! Good luck in all your games :)

He is not, by any means, better than Huntress. He is just way easier, low skill floor, low skill ceiling.

The way his arc just goes up while throwing the blades and the fact his blades don’t ricochet naturally makes him a non viable killer, not to mention even if you are just playing to try him out it’s infuriating how sucky his ability is

I agree with this post entirely. Trickster has 60 knives while huntress only has 5 hatchets. Tricksters addons are also so much better. The addon that bounces makes trickster the best killer in the game.

like the fact that huntress has amazing snowball potential alone makes her the best ranged killer.

Trickster has snowball potential as well if you are a good player and hit all of your knives. You just don't like huntress because you have to hit the survivor more than twice with your power.

I agree that he's on par with huntress, if not better. While he can't injure with one shot, his attacks are harder to dodge and keep the stress levels high, which can be an important aspect of getting them to make mistakes.
He can also use blades to zone survivors away from safe loops
He can also prep to down survivors who have endurance. You know they have borrowed time or soul guard? Prep them with 7 knives and count down till they lose the endurance. Then they're an easy down even if they make a window or pallet.
And unlike Huntress, main event gives him a big snowball potential if survivors group up at the right time. If you roll up on 4 survivors as Huntress, there's no way you're downing more than 1, maybe 2. But as trickster, you can down the whole team if played correctly
And throwing one knife at a time is vastly underrated.

Genuine advice, try to learn Huntress instead! She's much more fun, rewarding, and she's actually fun to play against :D !

I like that they gave him those crazed little laughs and giggles during a chase, further enforces the idea that he's a killer you should stay away from. Little touch but big difference, I think.

Right now Trickster is the worst killer in game when it comes to his power and every person who played against competent killers and decent survivors (not 9k loop gods, just decent survivors who don't crouch entire trial, try doing gens and don't bomb rush hooks) will tell you this.
His design is pretty cool though. Laughs are amazing, visuals are dope.
