This killer is the worst in the game
I just played against a few Tricksters today and got all gens done in all games. The killer players seemed to be good at the game but this killer is so bad that they couldn’t do anything to anti-loop. Seriously devs, y’all need to buff this poor killer because he’s struggling massively at the moment. Why would anyone play Trickster over Plague or Huntress who’s powers are fairly similar?

It’s pretty easy to judge this early on Trickster. It takes way too long to damage someone with 8 knives and you have to commit all 8 in a single chase because the laceration meter goes down.

Tricksters power seems like it’s one of those that if they buff it even slightly too much he will be overbearing. I just see it being very difficult to do much with how he is designed.
after 4 years, this will be the first killer that i have no interest in playing. (Well I did only play twins once so I guess it will be the second)

Looking at all this feedback I’d say we have a pretty successful dlc launch on our hands. A satisfied playerbase and a pretty good job so far by the devs.

Dude it doesn't take 20+ games to realize he just isn't good. Even the people who played him repeatedly on PTB said this. I too have had I think so far, 6+ games against Trickster today and in all of my matches, all 4 teammates have gotten out. He struggles so much in loops, shack is a huge problem for him and his power is lackluster to say the least.

blight has mobility and straight up a damaging attack.
what does trickster have? A power that needs LOS for 3 seconds and all knifes to land to injure a survivor and a 24 meter TR. Sometimes if you haven't downed a survivor you get main event and use that to do it or they just run around things so you can't hit them.
that's it, he can't switch targets or quickly injure with his power even remotely reliably.

What does Trickster do mechanically that separates him or makes him as good or better than other ranged killers at a basic C wall tile or jungle gym? I don't know that we necessarily need time in this case.

The killer is basically only playable with iri photocard. Otherwise he would be much weaker than a huntress or deathslinger that just can inflict a healthstate with one more or less precise shot.

He was because on ptb his collison was awful. They said later on an pld blight variation was released on ptb. Now blight currently is good on maps where power works you get hawkins or lerys its just awful swamp was also really bad but its supposed to be fixed now.

Haven’t played trickster yet but this only works at the start of a ptb, this is a live release where devs just put things onto trickster that he should have had in the first place. Trickster is still really weak and has so many things in his kit that is unnecessary, this is killer number 2 in a row where the concept is cool but executed poorly

No people were saying Blights hitbox/collision was trash... He felt as if he wasn't done when released and we were right. But he turned out to be a really fun killer after a few tweaks and now he's top 10 with his update today.

We had a lot of people who liked, even loved Blight back then. This is a different level. I feel like everybody hates Trickster equally.

If I am correct, the PTB last about 1-2 weeks, around the same time it takes to learn a easy-medium difficulty killer, Trickster is flat out simple to counter and painfully weak, doesn’t make it any better that they nerfed his best add-on and made it a joke add-on

Imagine thinking people with thousands upon thousands of hours in the game are just "wrong". Especially since the only changes he received since the PTB were basically nerfs.

I can say i haven't enjoyed a single match yet with him. his hits are way to inconsistent, 8 times injure a survivor is a waste of time. he is as slow as burger king myers which is slower than survivors while he is aiming. there is a 1 1/2 foot difference of blade contact points weather you throwing from right hand or left hand. and that is from 5 feet away. only gets futher with distance.

When I play The Trickster, I try to use the knives, but it's so hard to get hits with them at loops that I've just resorted to normal looping...but I can't even do that to effectively because the killer moves at 110%. I really wanted to like this killer, but he just isn't strong at all.

I REALLY want to believe this guy has potential but my god, how on Earth is he 110% while Plague is 115%?
I still want him to keep that 24m terror radius but PLEASE devs, PLEASE increase his movement speed to 115%.

Honestly he'd still be bad at 115. Just play Plague or P.Head at that point, you'll get better results with a similar playstyle, but less completely terrible.

Have you played the new killer? He's complete trash right now. He might as well be called the doormat because survivors can walk all over him and he's powerless to do anything about it. He'll even Twins could at least camp you to death. This guy would take longer than OAP to even re-catch you

Except Blight on paper IS good, then people learned him and it matched.
Trickster isn;t good even on paper. He is slow as hell, you have to LAND 8 blades, no map pressure, and are slowed even more when throwing. He is only tolerable when Showstopper is active.
He is terrible

Rank 1 down to rank 3 and sinking fast, maybe when I hit rank 20 I'll start doing well with him...
So far it does feel like he's the least deadly character available. Even less than legion and I really wasn't expecting that level of bad.

Even Huntress though, we start to split hairs with Babushka/oak haft and suddenly she's oppressive.
I'm just saying, in Trickster's case at a tile, I can tank 1 or 2 knives at a time, break LOS, rinse repeat, and it's really inefficient for him to injure with range but he's also 110. Not really the case for Huntress or Slinger.

-Slow killer
-His power is terrible so i don't see the reason of him being slow
-When throwing knives on ppl, he gets even slower, wich makes him easy to loop
-Knives made ouf of plastic and needs 8 to actually hit someone
-When you hit someone with a knive and is a hit, they get the speed boost to loop you even more
-The only benefit of downing someone with a knife is that they don't get that "momentum" when they fall, and sometimes you can get someone on the exit gate because of that
-Laceration meter decays with time, so you can't 99% survivors like ghostface.
-Main event is not a threat at all, because most of the maps has places to get cover and you can't controll it.
-Main event is extremely situational because of the amount of downsides of using it
-Main event has a short amount of time to use after you get it, wich makes it even more situational
-And they nerfed the only good addon that he had (that bouncy knives one)
Honestly this killer has more downsides that any other killer in the game, i really wanna see how ppl will try to make him a thing.
