So what changed in the entire extra week he had
Well it seems like nothing maybe some bug fixes but had that extra week to get clown treatment.
Nothing rip this chapter and yet again have shown that you didn't listen to even your fog whispers. The people you hand picked to represent dbd.
Or even ptb feedback
I think they are doing a pretty good job. Am I right?
Edit my bad they listened to everything that isint related to the trickster. The newest chapter

It was due to late approval for consoles I believe...

They listened they just didn’t use that feedback. He got a buff did he not?
1 -
Quality of life things but when a long fence can stop his power that's saying something about him
2 -
He got "buffed" in a way that's not impactful. He's still extremely weak.
2 -
I imagine bugs, also they never said it was gonna be the 23rd in the first place.
1 -
I think what sucks the most is that he could be fixed with something as simple as some number changes and he would be much better. IMO all he needs is a fix to laceration, but he only got minimal changes.
0 -
That makes sense what dosent is why not use that week to make changes
0 -
I think it's because of his power. It's like nurse in the idea that it's fragile and anything you do it can make him OP or downright unplayable. I'm sure there are ways to buff him but to test out, tweak and make sure there are no bugs within the span of a week is kinda impossible for a game like dbd. Plus they have numerous other things to look at that arguably much more important right now, which is ranks as from what I've seen it's been extremely tough for new or casual players as they've been going against the sweaty try hards when they shouldn't even be near each other.

Hi there - your friendly neighborhood Community Manager here! Thanks for leaving your feedback. ❤️
As with all of our killers, we have been and will continue to closely monitor feedback about The Trickster. Changes can always happen down the road! Keep leaving your feedback here for us to bring back to the team. 😊
Thanks and have a great day ahead!

What a joke. I expected at least better changes on trickster.

You guys had many weeks of feedback tho, and it was universally agreed that Trickster is too weak.
12 -
I'm honestly surprised you guys even try with the community anymore, but I'm always happy to see a new manager face.
4 -
Down the road causes pain now, when there should have been an opportunity to listen, and tweak.
2 -
Dr. Giggles?
0 -
No offense Mr. Dev but this sounds like an automated customer service reply- y'all had time to listen for changes, and even had an extra week to do so. Its disappointing that the community rarely gets heard or acknowledged when it counts.
2 -
Sorry if I am offending now but pls either post something informative or don't post at all.
This post is literally a copy/paste post were you can change the word "killers" and "trickster" for anything relevant at the given time.
This is less than helpful and simply EMULATES some kind of communication from the devs with the community while giving posts without any impactful content.
4 -
Wait, I thought only Not_queen, Peanits, and Patricia were community managers. Who are you?
0 -
No offense taken! I can see where you're coming from. When we have something more concrete to share, we'll definitely keep you all updated. ❤️
That said, figured it would be better to let you all know that we have been listening to feedback than to leave you all completely hanging with no reply!
We know that many of you have been requesting buffs for The Trickster (like richochets added to the basekit), and that's still an option for the future, but we don't have anything specific to announce at this time while we look at all the options. ❤️
4 -
I mean that's all fine and dandy, but BHVR, you guys, have set the precedent before that changes similar in magnitude to ricochet for the base power or keeping laceration from decreasing during a chase before a single ptb ended.
My first and best example is for the ghostface chapter. In the ptb he used to be able to stalk while someone was exposed, and that isn't even mentioning how easy it was to knock him out of stealth. I guess my point is that, with the given feedback from the ptb, SOMETHING should have changed along those lines before release.

I'm a new Community Manager on the team! Just joined a few weeks ago, so you'll be seeing me here more often especially around release dates to reply to some threads. 😊
10 -
Hahaha poor guy, literally her first post and yall are furious. Dude is just doing her job.
4 -
Yeah, and next they will complain that nobody communicates with them. Classic DBD-Forum Members.
@Topic:
I am always amazed how people confuse "listening to feedback" with "being forced to change something". If they dont change something immediatly, this does not mean that they are not listening.
3 -
What about some very little changes? I'm aware making some new animations are much extra and hard work, but could some nice number changes help him as well as not putting so much stress on the devs? I know you guys have been doing wonderful for the recent killer tweaks, and Trickster could use some little number changes as well. Thank you anyways for still giving us some kind of information and it is greatly appreciated!❤️

I'm just gonna ask you this here cause I'm not sure if you saw it, but what do you think of what I said
Also you seem pretty nice and I wish you well in your work 🤗

I was just about to reply to this post, no worries @Lliart ! 😊
I totally see where you're coming from. Sometimes discussions around changes, and especially implementing them, take longer than players anticipate. I wish we could make changes overnight, but it's definitely not always possible. ❤️ There are a million factors that can play into these timelines, both internal and external, so I'm sure you can see how it may take longer to implement seemingly quick changes!
That said, changes for the future are never ruled out. The best way for us to see your feedback is to leave it for us to read here, and then we can bring that back to the team to get the ball rolling. 😊
With that, I did want to say thanks for taking the time to let us know what your thoughts were! It's really important for us to see everything - the good and the bad - so that we can keep improving. 😊
P.S. I am a woman - I should have clarified that earlier! 😁

I feel it's hard to evaluate how strong a killer is on the PTB because there's not much time for a meta to develop. I like to point to Spirit as an example. Others will say that Spirit actually was bad on the PTB and even at launch, despite the fact that she's only been somewhat buffed since then, but I think the bigger factor was that people hadn't figured out how to play her to her full potential yet. As a result she ended up being overbuffed, and is probably still in line for a nerf even after getting a number of nerfs since her peak (prayer beads gutted, collision while phasing turned off, a proper vault animation added, etc.). There are many other examples of this on the PTB, especially relating to perks. Remember when Dragon's Grip and Power Struggle were both going to be OP?
I don't blame the devs for being hesitant to rush out changes without first getting better data for how he performs in the wild. Given Trickster's low mobility I don't think for one second he's the next Spirit, but I also generally don't like jumping to conclusions about balance. Let's see how he does and if he's bad I'm sure he'll get buffs. I wouldn't be surprised if they're already in the works tbh.

Welcome :) don't let the forum get you down - people can get heated at times lol.
1 -
Is the feedback even read?
There has been a number of people on these forums and elsewhere saying autohaven is too dark. Surely it would not affect the balance or the game too much to just brighten it up a tad as its hard to see survivors in dark cosmetics....and yet nothing.
Meanwhile they scrapped potentially months of animation work within a week or so when survivors were unhappy.
You see the difference here? Survivors complain and months of animation work gets pulled on a whim. Killers ask for a realm being a tad brighter so we don’t have to squint to see survivors and it goes without acknowledgement.
0 -
I feel heated is an understatement, but I'm glad that we have another community manager here!
1 -
The animations were not scrapped. They're still in the game. The transitions between them were just substantially reduced.
The game is also substantially brighter now than it was historically. Many people on both sides have had no issue with the updated Autohaven maps, and some others on both sides have complained about it. Not only is there no evidence of systematic anti-killer bias, but the idea doesn't pass the sniff test. The devs have every incentive to make the game balanced and fun for both sides.
They clearly do read the feedback. Not every bit of feedback is going to be acted on, though, and the feedback that is acted on, especially for something as comparatively minor as map lighting, isn't going to happen overnight. They're still actively reworking old maps and likely want to finish that process before tweaking the reworked maps much.
There are many factors that go into which changes get prioritized. Not dropping everything to address someone's pet issue does not mean that didn't read the feedback or that they don't intend to address it at some point.
0 -
Ive been playing this for years and I’ve never seen a fix like the animation change. That was a HUGE change and it happened so fast. They prioritize what affects the most players so yeah they definitely fix things survivor side faster
Killers gave feedback on autohaven, meatplant being AWFUL, and trickster being horrendous and all of it has been ignored. Sure they dont have to act on feedback but given how bad trickster is and its obvious to everyone maybe they should have listened
0 -
It really wasn't a huge change. They just sped up the animation transitions substantially; as far as I know all of the animations and transitions themselves weren't touched. It was probably a pretty simple change under the hood.
All of it has not been ignored. Not addressed immediately =/= ignored. The feedback on Autohaven in particular has been far from consistent. The feedback on The Game has been more consistent, but that map was only recently released. Autohaven isn't exactly old either - those reworks were only released like three months ago.
Behaviour has consistently made balance changes to new killers in the patches following launch. There is absolutely no reason to expect they won't do the same with Trickster.

One last thing I feel I have to ask;
Are any one of these changes suggested by the community being considered? By this I mean the 3 most popular that I've seen suggested being base kit bounce, laceration not going down either at all or in a chase, or bumping him up to 115% movement?
Of course I don't think ALL would make it (As nice as that would be lol ;P), but are any of those three being at least considered? I ask mostly for peace of mind rather than anything else.

Remember back when PTB to Live was two weeks and they came out and said "it's gonna be three weeks from now on"
You cannot go from that to "oh it's four weeks now" with no announcement and not expect people to continue to think it's been delayed. ESPECIALLY when last midchapter was 4 weeks and they even came out and said "This one is delayed" What they should have said back then was "okay, it's gonna be 4 weeks from now on" if that's what they wanted us to believe.
When you hold updates to a strict schedule that is easy to predict and then deviate from that without telling your community, it's a bad play, and nobody is unjustified in being disappointed that they weren't told it was delayed
0 -
Well welcome to the community normally the people are tolerable. but with the last chapters people are getting irritated at the devs.
considering that fog whispers and other big dbd content creators tend to have a general agreement. with diffrent thought process. and the community tends to agree with them as well .
Then lots of them go and give their ideas and it gets "ingored" and minmual changes from ptb to live
0 -
they NEVER said it was gonna be 3 weeks from the PTB. People were just assuming because it's the usual schedule.
0 -
Probably new bugs.
0 -
It’s cause they either don’t listen or take months to years before they finally listen. Look how long it took for moris and DS to be rightfully changed. Video games with even smaller teams make these kind of changes way faster
0 -
I guess what I meant to say is this forum is filled with whiney people that whenever they dont get what they want complain to devs. Who probably look at the "solutions " and realize that it's not easy to do and cant make everyone happy.
