Trickster is now the worst killer in the game
i just played a few games of him and the recoil is so bad on controller I was only getting around 2 hooks a game. He looks great but I’m literally doing better my just m1ing than using his power
To buff him I’d suggest no recoil and make him a 115% killer and that would honestly make him somewhat useable

Just remove the spread and recoil from him.
Imagine Plague had something like this.It's unnecessary and makes him pretty much unplayable on console imo

Dropping a pallet early on Clown deprives him of a hit, trickster can still throw knives at the survivor who just did.

It is hilarious how bad the spread and recoil is. Its like they learned nothing from how awful the guns felt in Deathgarden.
You can be point blank in a chase aiming dead on and still miss, its stupid.

Like I said, all you have to do against Clown is pre-throw the pallet and he gets nothing. The trickster can still piece together hits in a chase and over a pallet.

That only helps on loops with low walls though.
And clown can definetely play around certain dropped pallet

This was obvious in the ptb but all feedback was ignored. It was funny watching coconutrts say the same about the recoil, and he's a huntress main and cs:go player

Clown is way better than this trash can of a killer.
At least clown gets the pallet early. Trickster gets looped for 3 years while they try to build up laceration and then they either get the pallet thrown if the survivor is injured or the survivor gets injured and then runs away because Trickster has to build it up again to finally down the survivor

Clown gets pallets down early, but he gets no hits and lacks even less pressure when he can't hit you. The trickster is not as bad because he can still do something in a chase.
At unsafe loops with low enough objects, the trickster is actually strong on them because he can easily throw knives over the structure. Clown has to mindgame to potentially get a hit.

Was the recoil as severe as it was in the PTB? Or was it increased from PTB to live? Haven't played him yet.
Can someone explain what the recoil is? Is it just spread and inaccuracy or is there actual physical "muzzle climb" that drags your camera up and has to be compensated with by pulling down while throwing knives?

The latter, the muzzle climb.
The blades if you throw them slowly are accurate to a certain range, but he throws one with his left hand then the next with his right and he keeps alternating and each one lands on a slightly different area. Imagine a crosshair, one always lands just to the left and one always lands just to the right.
But yeah the muzzle climb is extremely strong if you throw too fast. The main issue is that survivors right in front of you spinning around tend to avoid most blades.

I 100% disagree. Clown has mobility and slowdown going for him. Trickster is slow and inaccurate. Sure it can injure them, but I’ll get two hooks with clown before you even finish getting them down with trickster lol

Gonna have to disagree with your disagreement. Clown most definitely does not have mobility and which sort of slowdown? The 10% of speed he gets for using his bottles is pitiful when used for mobility. Wraith's speed while cloaked before was 126% at base, that is only 11% more than 115%, the average mms for killers. Because of that, he was extremely weak at base. 125% movement speed, when used for mobility, is terrible for traversing maps and only makes a difference in chases around small structures.
The trickster can use his power to injure survivors and then use his m1. Clown has to use his power to help him possibly get an m1 hit on the survivors. His power also takes quite a bit of skill to aim because of the recoil, you can definitely learn how to control it.
The trickster can injure survivors with his power, but Clown can't. The only strength of Clown is his ability to get hits in places where other killers can't due to his tonic and antidote bottles, but that is it, and he can do absolutely nothing around decently strong pallets being thrown down early.

Clown is hot garbage but he's still leagues above Trickster. This is hands down the weakest killer they've ever released.

Going to have to agree with everybody else here and say Clown is a million times better than Trickster for obvious reasons. Here's why:
- Main point: Clown gets an early pallet drop and can either break it or use his bottles to get a hit looping around it. He can also prevent survivors from holding W after a pallet drop with his bottles, slowing them down in the process. Trickster on the other hand usually doesn't get an early pallet drop and has to deal with survivors either looping him around it with his 110% movement speed or dropping it early and crouching behind objects as well as just running away entirely with no slowdown compared to Clown.
- Extras: Clown has a reload on him while Trickster has to actively search for a locker. Not to mention, most people can dodge Tricksters knives even in an open area compared to Clown, whos power is much harder to dodge and can actually be used to push survivors into a deadzone.
Both of these killers lack one thing -- mobility. Even with Clowns new bottles, I'd say he's just as weak as Trickster when it comes down to it. With that being said, they need to be superior in chase, and there's no doubt in my mind that Clown will down somebody much faster than Trickster.

Maybe actually now that I look at it more, his ability in tiles can be very easily countered by any good survivor almost completely and be disabled, not to mention how when he holds up his knives he loses distance on them. He is also a 110% killer which is a big deal. Wow, what a poorly designed killer.

It's an unfortunate truth. The only way I can see him being viable is if he M1s first and then uses his power to down you, but even then he's still handicapped.

His power has no lasting effects to counter his long drawn out chases. It's Fine, let him be slow to move, slow to down, slow to injure, but give him something to offset this.
Make laceration permanent until healed and I don't know add on a built-in thanatophobia for each stack of laceration gained.
His current design doesn't reward you for playing well but punishes you for not committing.

Feel like you’re only saying this because it was a meme that Clown was bad. Clown is alright now and definitely way better than Trickster. You will definitely not being getting away from a good Clown on shorter loops even if you drop the pallet early. Chill out on the ScottJund with the “drop pallets early completely counter kill ez” because it just simply isn’t true. You can’t even catch up to competent survivors for long enough to actually get any value from your power.
Really wanna see your Trickster gameplay because your comments are kinda yikes. Maybe you’re just better than all of us at Trickster? I don’t think so when the vast majority of people are saying that he is leagues worse than the worst killers.

Ok well, I already changed my mind about Trickster about 2 hours ago btw, if you were actually reading my comments like you said you did have realized this.
Also, your comment about me having to chill out with Scott was random, it is a very known fact that Clown can be countered easily by dropping pallets early, or not playing greedy. What is a clown supposed to do if you drop a pallet at a long-wall jungle gym? His "rework" was very underwhelming and is the second-worst killer in the game.

Your Clown argument assumes that all the loops are relatively safe like jungle gyms when they really aren’t. There are many loops that Clown can just shut down. Not saying he’s a great killer, but he’s not just completely countered by pre dropping every pallet, unless you’re only playing against bad Clowns.

He's throwing knives, not blasting an assault rifle on full auto.
