Trickster is the biggest disaster since the match-making during The Stranger Things launch.
I was really apprehensive posting this.
I usually give the devs benefit of doubt, and defend A LOT of decisions, looking at balance choices from BOTH sides. That, and I’ve been around long enough to know that it’s unwise to make brash judgments on a killer until a few months after their release.
But I can’t fathom how Trickster came to be. This power is... actually a detriment to the player. It is so insanely difficult to achieve injured states or downs with the knives. And all a survivor needs to do is get behind something (how skill based).
I know fun is subjective, BUT i’d guess a great deal of players choosing to play killer, and their idea of fun is to get SOME semblance of a regular result from using the killers power.

But guys! Don't worry if he's crap! We can all swoon over those mouth-watering winking Trickster GIFs.

I agree. Other than the trailer, everything about this chapter is a huge disappointment. I haven't seen such a weak killer since PTB Ghostface.
And to think, after all that hype, that is what we get.

The red flags were there.
- an absurdly high ammo count.
- An objectively strong hex.
- A perk that encourages the use of a basic attack after carrying/hooking someone.
- A perk that’s purpose is to give the killer more time during endgame.
7 -
I should have thought of that earlier.

What a chapter to proclaim as their MAGNUM OPUS.
The game BHVR talked was HUGE.
Of course this was going to blow up in their face

that endgame perk is useless because it's just 10 seconds.

Please just waste 10 minutes of your life that you will never ever get back and check their Twitter. Read it. Sit back and absorb the amount of circle jerking going on. Come to grips with the fact that like 100-200 of us wind up going back and forth for any length of time in these here forums.

It’s capable of blocking switches up to 42 seconds

The chapter wasn't BHVRs magnum opus, they retooled their twitter to be like a musician teasing and getting ready to drop a new album, and the new survivor went by Magnum Opus as a performer before she became a producer. The Mightee One and Magnum Opus stuff on social was a way to tease Yun-Jin not the Trickster.

I find it hard not to compare him to The Plaque. A killer that is considered average to below-average in strength. He's worse than her in every way.
3 -
Yeah and they really shouldn't have.
You should never invoke words like Magnum Opus if your product isn't up to snuff.

Exactly.
I only need to hit a survivor with some little bit of Vile Purge and leave to do other things, that survivor will eventually be injured.
Plague compared to Trickster is a vision of efficiency. Trickster is as inefficient as a killer can get.

He's really bad. Really, really bad. He has zero map control and has probably the worst among the roster.
His lethality isn't even good as well. Because the knives decay over time, YOU have to focus and down that person, otherwise you've wasted your time and effort. But if you try to down them and they're not rank 20, they're going to run you around for like 2-3 minutes.
Either way, he's basically an M1 Killer at 110% unless it's autohaven or ormond that is low enough to shoot over.
He's so bad, easily the weakest killer atm

I can't believe I'm saying this but Twins on release were stronger than Trickster. Even if you never got a chance to use Victor, he either got stuck in the ground and acted as a motion detector, or someone stole him and made the game a 3V1, AND Charlotte is 115% making her instantly better in chases than the Trickster.
There's some gameplay of Almo playing as the Trickster and even he couldn't find a use for his knives. Apparently in 3 games, he only used them 3 times, with one being on an AFK survivor, one being on the last survivor remaining, and one at a survivor in the exit gate. Nice killer guys, glad to see you listen to feedback :)

That’s just...
I don’t know what to say...

The worse part is the inmense amount of Tricksters I'm playing against... it's almost like if NO ONE has seen gameplay/ feedback from the PTB, including killers from PC.

To be fair perks now have very little to do with the killers power
Deathslingers perks are an inconsistent tracking perk, an obsession based slowdown and a hex defending perk
It’s weird

The first Killer whose power actively hurts them since Legion, and we all know how loved he was.

Tbf. I'd rather play perkless addonless Clown than to try trickster again
....Funnily enough. i did that and got a Perfect game,
