Ideas to make Trickster more viable

Most of us are aware of how weak Trickster is at the moment. Well, here I am with some ideas to try and make Trickster feel more viable and fun to play as!

  • Make the Melodious Murder addon base-kit. This addon reduces the amount of times of knives thrown at the survivor needed to injure/down them to 6. This is an increase from 7 knives required. Melodious Murder addon's effect can remain but its rarity should be Very Rare.

  • Make the Bloody Boa addon base-kit. This addon increases the maximum amount of carried knives to 75. 60 ain't enough sometimes.

  • Increase his speed to 115% (4.6m/s) BUT keep his terror radius to 24m. It's pretty odd that Plague has 115% speed while Trickster has 110%.
  • Make it so that the laceration meter doesn't go down when the survivor is in the healthy state, BUT allow it to go down as normal when the survivor is injured.
  • If a survivor in the dying state has maximum laceration, their laceration meter goes down to half and is locked to 3/6, but will be unlocked when the downed survivor is healed a health state. After they are healed from being downed, the laceration meter will decay in 15 seconds unless they are already in the healthy state.

Aaand that's about it! If any of you have ideas that can expand on these, feel free to post them in the replies! I will update this a lot, so keep that in mind.

UPDATE #1 (3/30/21 9:05 PM PST): New idea!

  • When the Main Event is fully charged, the charge meter doesn't go down like it normally does, meaning you can activate it any time when it is charged without having to worry about it running out (before you activate it ofc).

    My ideas are very basic...


    • Making him a 115% speed killer.
    • Tap M2 should throw 1 blade, hold it throw more.... had to press M1 again feels akward.
    • Blades Ricochet in the environment once basekit.


    • Main Event stay able to activate by pressing Control forever (like the Oni Demon Fury).
      • When fully charged, the killer and the survivors will hear a sound warning (like with the Oni, Plague, Myers fully charged powers)
        • Maybe adding an animation of him making a cool pose with scenario lights pointing on him while activating as a negative effect of being able to choose when to use it????
    • During the Main Event:
      • Be able to Aim & throw infinite blades with rate significantly increased at fully 115% speed, but not forced to... so you can pick up survivors and open lockers.
      • Terror Ratius tremendusly increased.
      • Survivors inside the Terror Ratius trigger Killer Instinct.


    • Blade-damage (Laceration) should stay until the survivor makes a new healing interaction (like Mending/Snap of madness/Wake up/etc...).
      • Do objectives (repairing/healing others/making bones/etc.) while affected by the blade-damage increase it and even down yourself.
      • Addons who affect the decay delay will increase the time takes to do that healing interaction for each blade hit. (like the mending Deathslinger/Legion addons).
        • addons who affect the decay delay out of blades increase the self-increased blade-damage while doing objectives.

    These are really cool ideas! I love the idea of the killer instinct showing, it actually makes him feel more viable if he gets his own tracking ability!

    I don't know why this guy even has to reload at lockers.

    You could give him infinite knives and he would still be worse then Plague.
