I am just going to blame DBD's problems on the pandemic for now if you don't mind...
The more I thought about it, the more I realized how wrong I probably was about how covid must have not affected how BHVR works all that much.
The pandemic has affected literally every single person in the world. Businesses, workplaces, our daily life has changed dramatically. A game management company is already hard to deal with, the pandemic made it even worse. I am not saying that BHVR is a sweet little angel that has done nothing wrong, but at least they gave us some chapters in the midst of this chaos.
I am not going to get into it, but I guess I can forgive BHVR for this chapter. They work behind closed doors, so we have absolutely no idea how hard things are for them... so I will let this patch slide for now...

I would let it slide but it's been 6 months without a decent update
And 6 months is more than enough time to get a efficent way of communicating set up so no I'm not gonna let it slide.
My only exception is the new people and the art team at behavior they do great almost every time

But we are in a pandemic and have no idea what is going on with BHVR. I know it has been said before, but maybe we should just deal with this for now. As far as we know, BHVR is struggling just like a lot of other people. We have been in this pandemic for over 6 months.

I can understand when the the twins update was buggy and things like that but a lot of the issues i had with DBD where before the pandemic and they will be issues after the pandemic so im going to keep screaming at the abyss like a rational person.

I would say that this chapter problems (Trickster being probably the worst killer in the game) was more a result of the devs being oblivious to his viability, instead of a technical difficulty caused by corona. If they came buggy as Twins and Plague originally were, I would understand as a pandemic thing. However, since his problems are all relatable to balance issues, I imagine that this was caused by them only, specially after the PTB and everyone giving feedback that he was not ok.

I get that we are in pandemic but when you have several hundred people working on one game how are you getting content that is almost worse than old freddy.
Like why did they bother putting out a ptb the best changes were number tweaks to killers that weren't about this chapter
Rember when they slightly listened to our feedback with spirit what happened to that

Exactly, 600 people work on this game. That is 600 people who all are struggling with the pandemic as well. Each of them has to pull their own weight and deal with this game which is a mess. 600 people is hard to coordinate right now.

I honestly think corona is a big part of the reason he is so bad, same for the twins. But another possible reason could be because they are not giving themselves enough time. A binding of kin only came out 3 months ago, that isn't a very long time to fully work on a killer when they also have to rework maps graphically among a few other things.

Don't do that. It's not like Twin's which was a bug filled messed which you could pass off on Covid maybe. Trickster is just badly designed and it all stems from decisions from the balance team, has nothing to do with Covid. They had feedback, they didn't listen.

Its not an excuse and ifs certainly not the first time they’ve pushed bad design out the door despite warnings from players

But apparently those are separate teams and the only time they have to work together is when they are dressing them up and even then they may not have to at all they just have to share a file and add a mesh layer to them and edit from there?

I think the big thing will always been the lack of communication. Many other studios are affected by the pandemic yet make it clear their plans are delayed because of it. I'm not too plussed by this since I'm used to devs not talking to their communities (looking at you, Bungie), but I get why others are upset at this.

I mean, BHVR was still bad even before the pandemic, so it's not the pandemic that is causing BHVR to be bad, they just always are, though it certainly isnt helping things.

The Twins had a good idea behind them. Their gameplay has a lot of personality and they are decent killers. The Trickster fails from his concept as his power is forgettable and very weak.

God no. The last thing we need is more " because of the pandemic " nonsense. It's like the lazy university professors that decided to replace actual lectures with YouTube videos made by other people and some paragraphs that they wrote on canvas. Then have the ego to describe that as " professionally curated content ". It's such a pathetic excuse for most.
