Why there is not button for that? DbD is +18 game and we are not child? So why we just cant close it?

    To be entirely fair, there's probably a legal aspect to it as well. Online mediums of communication can be held responsible for what their users say, which can include wonderful stuff like death threats, harassment and hate crimes. Given, it's a pretty crappy filter, but it gives BHVR a legal shield. And who can blame them for not wanting to get sued?

    It’s an adaptive system that can be adjusted by the devs.

    if there really are words or terms you think that should go through but don’t atm you could give direct feedback and maybe they will change it.


    there is really no need in insulting others, being racist/homophobic or telling other to k themselves (or something like that) and it’s really not bad to censor that stuff...

    Why have we even got this filter? they should have just added a option to either disable or enable chat.

    If people are this sensitive on a game, they shouldn't be playing 18+ games. Simple as.

    It's explicitly stated in section 230 that online mediums have to regulate and prevent illegal speech if they don't want to be held liable.

    230 was amended to have that liability of enforcing the law. Sites like backpage were prosecuted for failing to meet this standard.

    Apparently "barb stack" is a racial slur or sth - got it filtered by the gorgeous new feature nobody asked for ^_^
