I *think* I have found a decent trickster setup
The build: Monitor and abuse, enduring (fun) or ruin (good), corrupt, any other perk (pref pop or sloppy).
The point of this build is completely reliant on monitor and abuse, his near enough silent terror radius and his very short height.
See where I'm going with this?
Literally just play him like a stealth killer but you want to get hits as soon as possible, if you get a hit with m1 or laceration, drop chase and go to someone else. Then keep up the momentum of injures or go back to anyone injured to secure a down. Nurses would help and if you have weak gamesense I would most certainly recommend taking it or whispers as your last perk
PRIORITISE M1S OVER LACERATION, only use blades at loops where you know you cannot m1 them.
Basically hit and run.
His power is so weak that playing him the "intended" way will result in more losses than playing perkless clown against 4 mans. How this weak of a killer managed to actually make it live is beyond me.
If anyone else has found any strategies please feel free to comment it I really want this dude to be good.
EDIT: If you are trying this I would recommend purchasing one of his darker cosmetics so you don't stand out like a sore thumb when traversing the map.

I'd prob choose Spirit Fury for the last perk. Final build: Monitor, Enduring, Spirit Fury, and Corrupt
I like the idea you have here. I'm not a fan of running PGTW on Trickster because of his 110% movement speed and the fact that he isn't good at getting fast downs. Enduring and Spirit Fury allow him to get some hits with his knives.

Or just play Wraith who is intended to use this playstyle and can perform it way much better

Spirit Fury + Enduring is bugged right now, unfortunately

Because of his horrible pressure I feel like having only corrupt for pressure would be quite bad especially on the larger maps. While endfury is good i feel like having ruin on its own to help even more early game would be a better choice.
But IDK, I haven't gotten all of the perks yet and my current build is only slightly similar to the one i suggested.

True true, but we're trying to find ways to make trickster better.
If that involves playing him a completely different way than intended, then so be it.

Oh yeah I forgot, ######### me lol.
Maybe Ruin, Undying, Surveillance and Monitor could work? I'm planning to P3 Trickster sometime to get the most out of him before I start getting all my perks on him.
I was thinking Trail of Torment but considering he already gets that 16m terror radius w/ Monitor I don't think it'd be useful. Who knows though
I feel like Discordance could also work on him to charge up that Main Event faster.

I generally wouldn't run ruin and corrupt together if I could help it.
Corrupt makes people explore the map a lot more early on, and with no gen to do; your ruin often won't survive.
Honestly though, I can't even come up with a build that will work for him really because he's not fast enough for any M1 builds and his power is too bad to benefit from most specialty builds.

It's theoretically how deathslinger is played though. He's like a weaker deathslinger in that regard

You don't want pop as his mobility is too bad to make use of it.
Ruin+undying is slightly better though he can't protect totems well or pressure gens so he gets terrible value from them.
I'm gonna be honest. Endgame builds based around noed are probably the best bet!

I mean not really. Slinger is much more defensive, this dude seems to rely on hard snowballing but he's so slow and weak he physically cannot do that.
I would compare it to a budget ghostface with no stalk.

Unfortunately this killer is so bad right now that I believe the only strategy that can work is a basement camp strategy. Perks that help you get them into basement plus any stall would fit this.
When someone comes into basement to save, this gives you lots of knife hits, so start spamming them as soon as they commit to basement. This should allow you to down them as well as the person saved if you have full knives and spam both survivors. Having main event go off during this save attempt will also guarantee downing both.
This of course is a very un-fun strategy and may only lead to 2 kills so probably not worth doing. But playing normally is so frustrating with him, even a late game NOED build needs you to actually land M1 hits which can take awhile.
He needs buffs asap.
