As far as I knew from the ptb, it's much smaller again.
WHY
This gave him a good chance at actually dealing with loops.

So wait im confused... he moves slower while uncloaking but the lunge is the same? Because the lunge always scaled based on how fast he moved while cloaked.

While uncloaking you are slower. Basically, they took the windstorm addon and made it basekit and then adjusted the windstorm addons, because that is what that addon did. The addon made you move faster while cloaked, by while uncloaking your movement was slowed. You still gained the movement speed buff after you uncloaked. If the lunge range is actually reduced, it is probably a bug or an undocumented change.

I was gonna say they tried nerfing his lunge before didnt they? (Or it was glitched) and it made him the hottest garbage.

He has a slightly slower uncloak movement speed now, and his lunge speed accelerated for 1 second. It's accelerating from a lower value so the distance gained is now lower...if that makes sense
And unless they reverted the lunge duration there's a bug with his power description because it still says his lunge lasts 1 second.

Hm ill have to try it. Because ive played with purple windstorm before and if it acts the same way (which it should) i should have no problems. Unless the values are different then rip my muscle memory.

It should be like you described, and if not then it's bugged probably.
I didn't notice a difference in the post-uncloak speed boost tho, it's just the uncloaking move speed that feels really slow and weak now.

So have they just lowered the move speed WHILE uncloaking or does he not still have his decloak lunge? If not I don't think the trade of is worth it.

Wraith is actually a beast now for hit and run. But he got nerfed so you can’t just walk straight up to people for free hits, seems reasonable to me.

When I played a game with him, his boost feels weird, it seems like he slows down then have the burst of speed.
Hope this is a bug and not intended

Most likely a Bug, there is no mention about a change in the Patchnotes. If it is indeed intended (I doubt it), it should be reverted.

This was always something I did anyhow. I always hated the distance survivors got while uncloaking and now you all have me extremely worried.

Haven't played yet so I could change my opinion, though I'm pretty sure I understandthe situation. However as a wraith main I'm just kind of chuckling because it's obvious not too many people played wraith before with double windstorm add ons. His lunge gets destroyed the faster he gets. You're not losing range just making up the distance you lost by uncloaking.

Ok so the Wraith has 3 different states of modified movement speed:
State 1 - Cloaked movement speed boost
State 2 - Uncloaking movement speed slow
State 3 - Post-uncloak movement speed boost
You can only lunge during state 3. The duration (not speed) of this buff was changed from 1 second to 1.25 seconds in the midchapter patch.
The state 1 movement speed boost was increased this patch while the state 2 speed was decreased.
The duration of the uncloak and what happens afterwards happens afterwards.
The lunge only cares about state 3, so the nerf shouldn't have any impact there. If the distance you can lunge after completing an uncloak has changed you should report it as a bug.

I watched Tru3 play Wraith and something definitely seemed off. It seems like his uncloaking speed is still equivalent to running two pre-patch Windstorms instead of just one. Not sure why the devs did it, did they seriously think that people might find Wraith OP? It wouldn't surprise me if they did though.
I'm really hoping that it'll be a different story when I actually play him.

Clown got a buff, that buffs survivors as well. Now the same happened with Wraith. He can travel faster over the map, but getting slowed down uncloaking.
Be happy they don't took his lunge away at all!

State 2 effects state 3 though, assuming this is the case. When I played him he had no increased lunge speed when swinging because of the ridiculous nerf to his out of cloak speed and because you use the uncloak speed to close the gap from uncloaking slowdown it negates the lunge. If you miss from using the lunge out of cloak you give then distance anyway, complete lose lose scenario; i.e wraith’s lunge is nerfed.

They thought that simply buffing Wraith's movement speed would be too powerful so it had to have a bigger downside
After 5 whole years of developing the same game they're still acting like they're brand new (shoutouts to Ralph for the "acting like they're brand new" saying I love it). And the worst part is I wish I was surprised but I'm not.

His post-uncloak speed boost does feel wierd, it's like it starts slow and than accelerates, and it doesn't feel like it lasts 1.25s, as it should.

He jams the breaks on as soon as he comes out of cloak. They nerfed his chase potential and mind game potential for mobility. I swear his grunting and growling is also louder since i can see survivors are able to perfectly track me through walls now with all seeing.
Also good luck dodging flashlights now.

McLean confirmed on his stream yesterday that there's an additional slowdown right when you uncloak as Wraith which lasts for like 0,5 seconds. Which is why you can't lunge right away and the lunge itself feels slower.
It is confirmed to be an unintentional change that most likely will be fixed in the next hotfix.

I played him yesterday and he works how he is intended to work now.
He now gets more slowdown while uncloaking than before. He went from 2.0× m/s to 1.6× m/s while uncloaking.
His speed burst he gets after zhe uncloak is the same as before (giga lunge)

I'm checking on this, it definitely didn't feel right when I played him last night - something was off. Will update more when I have it confirmed as a bug or not.

I have just Mained Wraith to Rank 1 Killer for the first time ever - literally the night before the patch. I ran a single Purple Windstorm in every single game to Rank 1. I couldn't wait for the Wraith buffs and I was super excited, especially having been able to play him well enough to reach Rank 1 before the "buffs"..
However, I tried him tonight, and something most definitely feels off. I was under the impression that he was basically going to have "base-kit Purple Windstorm" which actually would have made a lot of sense based on the description - but after playing 5 games tonight I could tell that this is not the same as Purple Windstorm.
The Speed increase does feel the same, I will give it that, but the Uncloaking feels a little heavier on the slow, not too noticeable so maybe its very close to the same, however, as others in this Thread have mentioned, the Lunge and actual Attack ability after Uncloaking absolutely does not feel right or the same as Purple Windstorm used to for example.
I missed SO many Lunges that I know should have landed previously with just Purple Windstorm just based on my natural instinctual memory. I have played enough Wraith to have developed the sort of "muscle memory" people are talking about, and my games tonight were significantly more challenging than "Before the Buff" which doesn't seem right to me.
The concept of the Buff was right, but I rather have to use Purple Windstorm every game and be stronger than actually miss Lunges that I'm used to hitting constantly and get completely Looped at any Window Vault near a Pallet for example because I can't use my Power or Uncloak fast enough to land a hit.
Anyways, here's to hoping that it is some kind of bug that can be figured out, because Wraith is my favorite Killer and I had high hopes for this patch but am a bit sad now, especially when I just depipped from Rank 1 one night after getting there because of it.
(I will say that something was also off on my Emblem's again this patch as well, I had 4 Survivors on Last Hook at the end of a VERY Sweaty match but they all Escaped and I got Bronze Emblem x3 entity displeased and literally -2 Pip) I swear that can't be right, even the survivors after the game told me that it doesn't make sense because I played well and almost got them all. Also it was a rather long game, they never even cleansed Hex Ruin and I was 3 gen on them for a while, so I have no idea how I got only bronze gatekeeper emblem *shrugs*

I read somewhere that they gave him the slowdown of both purple and green windstorm add-ons but only gave him the movement of one. This is why they removed it from the add-on incase you run them both.
It should have only been equal to one add-on and kept the slowdown on the add-ons.

Honestly the slowdown doesnt hurt to much if the lunge gets fixed it should be not a big deal. But if both the lunge and slowdown are staying yeah no.

It feels off because coming out of cloak is much slower than before. It takes longer for his speed to ramp up. As long as you wait a bit longer after uncloaking, the lunge is the same.

Yes the adjusted the normal windstorm addon speed to compensate for the base if they didn't wraith could almost be Billy speed

No they do not. Regardless of his movement speed in State 2, his speed during State 3 should be 6.9 M/S for 1.25 seconds. You not having an increased lunge speed should be reported as a bug.

They changed that in patch 2.2.0, last I checked. Now, it's either you lunge at normal speed/range or faster.

It's probably a bug, or a perception due to the built-in windstorm adding an uncloak penalty.
