Tunneling and slugging is spiraling out of control
I knew it was going to be bad but not like this. Apparently killers don’t have the Trickster with overpowered meta perks yet so the amount of slugging and tunneling is now an epidemic with all the meta killers and meta perks. Have only seen one Trickster today. Decisive strike can now be exploited by killers and it is a major issue.
Can’t play with the new character because killers see no obsession and that means tunnel each one down. Slugging is running rampant in a majority of matches.
The killer objective is way too easy to do for majority of matches. DS now needs some desperate buffs to make it fun when using it. Survivor agency should be as important as killer agency.

DS still serves it’s function as an anti tunnel perk. But the best way to stop tunnelling is to loop the killer long enough for him to give up
Especially with trickster being popular at the moment looping isn’t an issue so I don’t see the problem you’re having. Trickster can’t slug or tunnel well at all

If you are getting tunneled as much as you say DS still serves it's purpose. If you had time to repair generators so your DS got de-activated you didn't get tunneled simple as that

I've probably played like 30 games since yesterday. Only 1 didn't have an obsession. I didn't use any obsessions perks myself btw.

How does getting good help against a tunneler? With how easy it deactivates and lost, its a free pass to tunnel.

@Sluzzy i forgot to add something. You are losing your touch. There are so many vying for your title of King Troll. You really have to step your game up. Being the 521st person to post the exact same topic as the contenders to your throne did just seems lazy.

You could always just keep running DS. That sounds dismissive, but it still works. Also, forming a team that uses borrowed time discourages tunneling, as well as running sprint burst. Zipping away with BT and SB right off the hook is a no go for me when I'm killer.

That doesn't work for a killer like Blight. Too much map pressure, and if you are unable to do anything without losing it, then that is bad. I couldn't as much as pick someone up off the ground without losing the perk. That is not balanced at all. It's also definitely not fun. Games should be fun.

That is definitely not the norm. But, that is only part of the issue. Player agency is completely gone now and that's extremely bad. Killers have the choice to play how they want, but survivor doesn't.

I understand getting tunnels is frustrating but getting DSed after you hooked someone else was also annoying. The perk now fits it’s niche of being an anti tunnel perk but doesn’t extend to a shield perk
Now you have to take the risk of losing your DS to progress gens or waiting it out to get value from it.
Also if you hate slugging so much you should try soul guard. Works well against slugging blights using ruin

You can still tunnel after doing these little things like trying to pick someone up off the floor. Being unable to help your team when being tunneled sends a bad message. 60 seconds is a short about of time, it also doesn't need all of these ways to disable itself. It handicaps the survivor that has it.

60 seconds is a lot of time in dbd. 1 gen takes 80 and accounting for hook travel and time spent getting to the gen it might aswell be 1 gen worth of time.
In your case you mentioned you said you had to pick up someone off the ground. If the killer left you to down someone else was he really tunnelling?

You can get unhooked and if the killer is chasing you, you have to leave the person on the floor or you lose your perk. You know that is wrong.

Hello once more Sluzzy. So are we talking someone downed the killer but sees someone else. Or 4 man slug at 5 gens. And DS nerf while I believe it was necessary the devs should now look to improve other anti tunnel perks. BT on proximity, Off the Record, and Babysitter. Could I hear some ideas for those perk buffs?

It was SURVIVORS who were exploiting the immunity of DS.
DS is only meant to prevent hard tunneling, not to get back to the gen right after the hook.

You decide to deactivate it yourself. Killers can't force you to do gens, healing, do totems, unhooks, etc etc.
