I'll say this about Trickster, as poorly polished as he is, as weak as he is....he's at least fun to play. When I say Trickster is the worst killer I mean weakest and most rushed out feeling, in terms of actual worse design that goes to Blight.
This killer is awful and even the new pov can't save him. I honestly don't know what anyone sees in him. Anyone else just not "get" Blight? like I'm having fun with Trickster even if he's weak (except against the toxic swfs) but Blight is just....blurgh. Wish I could refund him, or at least refund the BP I spent on him.

Blight takes time to learn. I thought that at first, but if you keep playing Blight you'll start getting hooked and end up getting better at him. Trust me, heed my word.

The problem with trying to pick him now is that he got collision changes this patch that just absolutely screw him over. Give him a shot if they fix him later.

Either you are playing with a controller or you seriously need practice. I finally switched to mouse and keyboard to play the blight and I've had an amazing time with him. I almost don't want to play anyone else because they lack in the fun department compared to him

Because I don't like him? the whole pinball idea is stupid, his collision is still spotty, and everyone used to complain about his stiff turning until the flicks became widespread.
You've automatically assumed something there I can tell when you accuse me of using a controller. No I just think he's awful to play. Nurse is difficult to learn but its easy to see the potential and even have fun when the blinks do land. Blight has none of that imo, his power sucks and even landing it doesn't feel rewarding. "Oh I just charged straight at him yaaaay"

Yeah I'm sticking to my story that you haven't really practiced. Had you said you've gotten good with the nurse instead of you see potential, then I would think otherwise. But this just tells me that your pretty new to the game

Probably because he's the hardest killer in the game and you have no idea how to actually play him (and there's nothing wrong with that) so you're just not finding any success with him at all. On top of that, could just not be your playstyle, and that's why you don't find him rewarding and will never find him rewarding.
Your comments about him are screaming ignorance, and I hope you either open up your mind a little bit if you care to get better, or just accept that he's never gonna be your thing and move on. Personally, I despise Pyramid Head; I don't think I've ever gotten a single 4k with him any time I do TRY to play him. He feels frustrating and boring to play. But I don't deny his strength because of it, nor do I deny his appeal and how learning him CAN feel rewarding. If you love Pyramid Head, then hell yeah. I won't say he's awful and terribly designed because I hate him, though.
We've all been in a spot where someone makes an ignorant comment about something that we understand/love, but know that trying to provide a different perspective won't matter because they've already closed off the door to other opinions as they're misinformed and hellbent that they're not. I hope you can understand the guy you're being right now.

Why are Blight mains so insecure and defensive? It's the old "you don't like what I like therefore you suck".
I'm not new to the game at all. I'm competent at Nurse but find her tiring to use after a few games so I didn't ever main her as I found other killers more to my taste. I prefer the mindgames of standard killers. I can land blinks but I'm not a pro but it's easy to see her potential in strength and "fun" even when only first starting her. You know, being able to teleport through walls and land hits and the like.
I put some time into Blight when he first released and he was awful. I took a break, tried this new and improved version and he's still awful. I don't get why you're personally offended. I said Trickster is weaker but more fun.
Blight isn't for me, that's the point of this thread, thats why I asked at the start about who hears the hype but doesn't understand it. Even on release when I was landing dashes I didn't feel thrilled by any of it. He's kind of like Nurse but nowhere near as cool, as strong, or as fun.

Blight is the only killer in this game that I just picked up and knew how to play day 1. Everything about him feels intuitive to me, I can't even give people proper advice on how to play him because I don't know what doesn't make sense. He is so well designed and balanced it's almost a shock that his one big flaw is a bug/exploit.

If you want to know why people are annoyed, it's because nowhere here did you make it clear that this is just your opinion. You presented the whole thing like fact, as though Blight is truly the worst designed and worst killer to play for anyone ever.

As I've said, we have all defended things that we thoroughly enjoy against those who have a misguided opinion about those things, especially those who seem to present them as fact. Posting on a forum with your opinion is allowing others to give their own. Do not be surprised by Blight mains responding to your post about Blight being awful. I know you expected this, lol.
But that's all okay. I never said you sucked. I admitted that he's not for you. I only just pointed out that the way you're going about it is a little unfair, but at the end of the day, I couldn't care much less about it. I'm not offended either, though maybe others are. I'll still make a little effort to comment on the unfairness of it, though.
Using your personal opinion on a character's appeal and fun factor to determine their strength and viability is odd, but I get it. It can be difficult for me to see a killer like Pyramid the way others do (in terms of strength) because I don't enjoy him, nor am I good at him, but I have to look past that and realize that the way I perceive his strength shouldn't be affected by whether I like him or not.
Either way man, you do you. I haven't given any real argument to convince you otherwise once. Your opinion has been accepted even though I don't share it. Maybe you'll find some others who feel the same. Nothing to be aggressive about.

I thought that makes it clear. "I" as in me, do not know why others rate him so highly, acknowledging that yes he has his fans. I then ask if others do not "get" Blight, implying that yeah I dont understand the hype and no hes not for me that is clear.

You're not alone. I dislike Blight entirely. I don't like how he looks, I don't like his power, I don't like playing him, and I don't really care for facing them especially if they're good.
In terms of looks, he is forgettable to me as he mostly relies on body horror on his face and that's his entire design.
In terms of power, I was disappointed our alchemist turned into "I ram wall fast, me the new Billy!!! vrooom vroom I run face into wall!" Then the whole Blight and plant stuff is also ignored, been cool to get some Poison Ivy type of character. Maybe in the future?
His adept was painful for me cause I don't like playing as him. I get so disorientated using him and it's not fun. Probably one of my personal F tiers for how much I want to play them.
And against him? He's like if Nurse and Spirit had a baby. You likely will die a quick and uninteresting death against him if they put the effort to learn him (like Nurse) leaving you feeling like there is little you can do to not die as he feels overbearing especially with Tinkerer. (like Spirit)
He's recently gathered a small army on the forum though, so I know I'm speaking forbidden words. To each their own though, I'm happy that some people love him and he got his eyes moved from his crotch to his face... even if it made him more frequent...

Do people to this day still not understand why his power is the way it is? he's a monster type killer, and the serum is the entire baseline to his physical related ability. Even back then, I was sure he wasn't gonna be some potion related killer because we already have Clown for that. All the slamming everybody memes with with him as a pinball crackhead is very kin to being chased by a rabid animal.

I was disappointed when I saw him in p2b and only played two games before I knew he was dog sh*t to me. I saw what people were doing on PC and opted to give him another shot but..
he didn’t look fun, didn’t feel fun, and I know BHVR will never help console Blight so I just left him alone.
Granted, I’ve ignored other killers for years and then ultimately warmed up to them and play them more often, but I highly doubt that will happen with Blight. I’d rather play trapless trapper.

If you don't enjoy blazing through the map at break-neck speeds, drive by smacks, and face planting five times against the last person on hook while screaming "get off my lawn", then no. You won't get Blight. There's nothing wrong with that. For the rest of us, he's the killer we want and love.
