Speed boost bug on Shelter Woods - is this new and can I get banned?
I just had a match on Shelter Woods vs a Blight. Only problem was that the second the match started, my Laurie was moving insanely fast. We're talking at least sprint burst speed, permanently, regardless if I was walking or sprinting. I felt like I was chasing the killer more than he was chasing me. Anyway I cranked the gens, went for incredibly quick hook saves and all that but eventually everyone else died. Doing the doors wasn't a problem though with the speed I had, I could've just ping ponged them but the killer opened the door and stood still.
Even managed to snag the Left For Dead trophy. Anyway, my build was BT, Balanced, Kindred and DS. I want to emphasise that I had no hacks of any kind, and I'm on PS4. Is this a thing that's happened before? Could I get banned for it? I'm sure the Blight reported me after the game, it's not as if I could hide it at all. Just a little worried. Totally in the dark with all this it's the first I've seen or even heard of a bug on this level.

If it's a bug no, you cannot get banned unless you abuse it or find a way to abuse it.
But when something like that happens, record it and send it to the bug section.
Also to the exploit part, if you exploit it, there is a chance for a ban but it might take the devs a few months to fix it, just like the double hit exploit which hasn't been fixed for about 4 patches.
If you happen to get banned, make sure to talk to bhvr because of the unfair ban.

Sorry, what's the way to report stuff like this? I have a clip of it recorded on my Playstation but not sure how I'd be able to use it

Submiting a ticket to the help center OR the best is the bug section on this forum.
You can transfer it on Youtube from your PS4. Then you got a link this way

So you're supposed to not run at all and let the killer get you because bhvr can't fix their game? Literally the only way not to "exploit" it is to walk meaning you'll get slow vaults and get hooked each time the killer gives chase

They meant that continually exploiting a bug is bannable. Having it happen by accident and just running with it until the end of the trial is fine. Sucks for the Killer, but it's a bug. Nothing to be done about it until it's fixed, so long as others don't try to replicate it for an advantage.
