Ya. Legion can play around his faults and penalties. He still plays at a massive detriment just for playing as intended, but it's possible because his penalties are sort of "on" and "off". Trickster has those issues, but also has the issue of an underwhelming power alongside those other penalties, and his power has penalties. I seriously don't know why the devs thought that bludgeoning Tricksters power with a nerf bat during its creation was necessary, but that's what seems to have happened. They took every part of every mechanical operation of his power and said "give it a glaring downside." That is nuts. It ends up making the Killer become his own counterplay. No wonder Survivors find him boring, he beats himself.
My guess is they absolutely feared making a strong Killer and the backlash it would create, so they made sure that EVERY positive aspect of Trickster came with some kind of debilitating side-effect. This is not only silly, but doubly so considering how WELL RECIEVED Blight is, and he's one of the strongest Killers they've come out with in a long time. Strong Killers with good counterplay are almost universally enjoyed. With Trickster, they went to the extreme opposite end.

The very clear three-month release schedule of deadliness they have to meet. They already delayed it once (probably with inadequate info considering how few people were on the PTB, and since people tend to play differently on the PTB). You can't address player feedback with inadequate or uncredible feedback.

I tried with noed and they broke my totem as soon as end game started 6 games in a row and I was like okay screw that and dropped it haha.

Lol not even noed can make him decent man this killer is so bad

As a survivor main I can confirm that I've wrecked trickster several times with a single 5 gen chase.
It's also kinda sad that no one is playing him. He was just released and I'm already barely getting lobbies with him.
1 -
Yea because nobody is enjoying him why hit someone 16 times with something you gave to fight.
When you can play bubba and hit them once with something you have full control over and break pallets with instantly

Wasn't trixter just an experiment to see just how bad they can make a killer and people still pay for cosmetics?

No that was twins trickster. was the product of that

I tried him and it seems the devs forgot they made all the new maps anti ranged. There is so much junk to hide behind it isn't funny.

Yea, but hey 110 m1 killer. but at least he is mostly bug free that's what really counts. right?

It's funny how these has been so much negativity and disappointment and not a peep. What happened to that community person that was here the other day?
Like any other company would have addressed this by now. BHVR is like "got your money, thanks. See ya in the fog!"

Doesn't have anything to do with being ideological. We all know, having the strict schedule they do PLUS having to deal with the whole COVID situation is not ideal for anyone. But from the very beginning along the whole design procedure of the Trickster, they should have seen all the problems he might have.
We are not demanding any changes to something that has worked for ages and suddenly we want it changed. That's not gonna happen in times like these, but releasing a killer in such a weak state AFTER all the feedback from the PTB and all the internal data since the very first design concept is just...it just blows my mind, how a company can operate like this.

Yep noed is useless on him because of the slow mov speed. Im trying different build and perks to make him perform better but hes so weak that needs double the perk slots sincerely and even if he could get 8 perks that won't make him good in any decent loop 😅
He really can't catch up around the shack or any tall loop, and using the power is really useless in those and most maps. I really hope they bring decent changes like they did with the twins and make him viable.

Considering how dogmatic he is I'd say it has very much to do with being an obstinate ideologue. And if demanding perfection is any indicator, I would say that the majority of this community does not, in fact, know the strain of COVID and having that much on your plate.
Trickster's concept is a pretty good one; it's easier huntress. Instead of having to land one clean shot, you can split the pain up into multiple different shots. You don't need accuracy anymore, it's a great beginner tool. Hence, he's labeled "easy." Not too shabby. Until they watered down the idea of splitting up the pain with a questionable aiming system and requiring 8 shots when you might as well just M1.
We don't know what kind of feedback the PTB generated. It was pretty "meh," but nobody was out in the streets, torches in hand, like Ghostface caused. Plus, people play differently on the PTB, which probably inflated Trickster's kill rates. BHVR knows that Trickster is weak, even with those figures, but they already delayed it by a week and they were clearly having trouble designing a fix and then implementing it, all the while with testing and tweaking. I'd rather have a bad Trickster in the game than no Trickster at all, as would BHVR, and so they released him in his current state. They'll probably fix him later, or even may be right now.

While I do like perfection I know it is not always possible.
tricksters concept is good but when huntress has a small window to land just 1 hatchet at normal loops Good luck landing 8 or 16.not to mention they decay after it feels like 12s and then 5s for each knife.
Then you get punished for using his power want to be accurate cool tap it too quick and you may have recoil for some reason. Spam it and you go as fast as nurse.
Not to mention we know pc dose better with ranged killers new ranged killer has not only recoil but random recoil so I guess f console players.
And this started out as just wanting a simple answer is he going to receive any changes before ptb. Funny how ignoring feedback has them in this situation and yet they dont say anything about it.

They wouldn't do that it's like this one story I heard. about a group of kids asking this "dumb" kid do you want 20 dollars or 1 and every time he said one somebody asked him hey why do you keep saying one? And he responded as soon as I say 20 they will stop asking made 42 dollars off them.
So were the "smart" ones in that story and if they say thanks for the money you think were gonna give again unless it's worth

But the twins don't have any good cosmetics that change the overall appearance. I know, because I looked because i would have bought some. lol.

But we still bought the chapter

I haven't played The Twins much because I haven't put an investment of BP into them to get them any real useful perks but I still enjoy playing them. I really love running around as Victor and pouncing on people through windows and over pallets.
I also like using Decoy Victor with the Exposed Add On. If the survivors leave their selves with the three close generators I can put him down in that area and someone will always take the bait and kick him.

Yea surprised that everyone even the devs forget about the ptb feedback

he will get an update 4 years from now

Exactly; his power sounds pretty good on paper. It's watered down huntress for beginners who can't aim. The only issue is that they watered it down too much, and figuring out how to un-water it down is gonna take some time.

And this is who the lead balancer is... Marth quit the game because of this...
