Trickster is way underrated
Killers are expecting way too much with the new killer and is very much so underrated. He needs patience for his kills unlike most that seem way too easy like Spirit, Freddy, and Huntress, to only name a few. Killers are too used to downing people too fast and that is not fun for survivors at all. A slugged 4K is not the only way to have fun.
I played him at least 10 games the past two days and only had one game where someone got out through the actual gates. He was a lot of fun to play too and really is powerful. You can't spam his blades and waste them against everything and be sure and hit the survivor as much as you can. Be smart, not be a spammer! You must be strategic with your shots and not waste them. It only takes a few to injure them and then again to down them. I had one in the basement and I was actually able to down two at the same time with a single load of knives. This is extremely strong and I couldn't have done that with a killer like Wraith.
The devs should really wait a while and not have a knee-jerk reaction and buff him because his power has almost no counterplay when most maps are ridiculously sparse now. There needs to be a lot of time to see how he is doing. He is a strong killer. With all the powerful strong killer perks, he is going to be unstoppable.
Killers need to adjust their playstyle with Trickster and stop trying to play him like the other killers and expecting easy wins.

These are the times I wish you were streaming Sluzzy, your godly skill would show us all how wrong we are about Trickster beiing the weakest killer in DBD right now by far, in desperate need of buffs.

To be fair, when survivors are heavy nerfed every patch there comes a point when some killers finally have to be nerfed. Now several needs to be nerfed. It's very imbalanced to have strong killers when survivors in general are extremely weak.

Now everyone is being real a$$ holes this time, sluzzy is right. This killer is getting constant crap because you can't Insta down, but there are a lot of redeeming qualities.
OP is 100% right about the spamming issue. Everyone wants to spam knives while loop chasing, and that's just stupid.
One great strength of the knives is zoning survivors. If they start running at a loop you don't want them at, throw knives between them and the loop and they will often dodge away, letting you catch them on the loop faster. or sometimes they even give up on the tile entirely
Yeah, considering you get 60 knives, its not a lot. That's 3 downs with basekit with room to miss 7 knives. That's 3 downs per reload, where as Huntress only gets 2 downs and an injury with base kit, with no margin for error. Yes, it takes longer than Huntress, but more room for error and there's more things you can do with the knives (zoning, prepping a hit against someone with endurance, shooting through small gaps, wasting a couple knives to throw at a really far away gen or totem to get survs to panic and run before they complete it, and the add ons give so many special kinds of traits that are fun and effective)
Basically, i think he has a similar skill ceiling as Huntress but a lower skill floor. Plus, he doesn't have that damn lullabye to worry about, and the additional main event that can sometimes be clutch. Yes, its not the best secondary power, but its better than nothing. Sometimes you get no value, sometimes you get a slugfest.

I mean, I know sluzzy says some REALLY stupid and illogical stuff sometimes, but I'm man enough to agree with someone I typically disagree with.
We see this kind of new killer hate all the time, but look at how strong blight and twins actually are in practice. I think a lot of people will eat crow once some really good trickster players emerge

You're agreeing with a troll my dude. And no, Trickster needs buffs, just because some people start winning with him doesn't mean he's good and is underrated. People with a brain knew that Blight and Twins were gonna be good because, and get this, they got changed and fixed on the live patch and we saw what you could do with them. The changes made to Trickster did nothing to help his case. We don't need any more time to know that Trickster is bad, we know what makes a good killer and right now Trickster isn't one of them.

No myers in tier 1 is the only killer who's lunge makes sense the rest can swing from miles away. Some can even swing all the way around certain pallets. Its OP and should be removed.

I personally believe that every potential upside you listed about the Legion is vastly outweighed by Huntress's "one hatchet = one health state".

I know sluzzy does a lot of trolling and often has illogical opinions, but I don't think he has his troll hat on this type, but that's besides the point. I think trickster has a lot of potential and isn't used properly yet. You simply say "he's not good enough" but provide no retorts to the strengths I pointed out.

Sure, if you feel that way, maybe he's just not your playstyle. But I SUCK with Huntress and I really like him as an alternative. But they ARE upsides to his power that give him different utility than Huntress, and best thing: you can stealth if you want because you don't have that damn lullabye

I don't like to use my personal skills with a character as a measuring stick. Otherwise, I'd be demanding buffs to every Killer that isn't Pig. I just think Trickster is MUCH MUCH worse than Huntress to the point where I don't really see a purpose in using him for mechanical reasons.

Alright I'll run through your points:
His zoning is really bad compared to Huntress, and ESPECIALLY compared to Deathslinger. These two killer can guarantee a hit if you zone the survivor probably, and do it much faster. There is more room for error, but if you're decent at the game you're not gonna mess something like zoning up. Or if you want to zone, play Pyramid Head.
The low TR is one of his only strengths over Huntress, but Deathslinger's TR is also extremely quiet with MnA.
Literally anything Trickster can do, other killers can do 10 times better. He's a jack of no trades and a master of none either and has no identity or strength over any killer. The only thing he has going for him is the high ammo count which make missing ranged attacks quite forgiving, but when your power is this bad it's hardly a strength about him because other killers like Pyramid Head and Doctor have easy forgiving powers with small cooldowns.

I dont see how Huntress can zone survivors away from tiles better, because all she can do is threaten to throw a hatchet. Trickster on the other hand can throw knives ahead of the survivor to more actively discourage movement towards to tile, and the more laceration the survivor has, the less likely they are to run into a stream of knives.
I think we'll just have to agree to disagree buddy, nothing wrong with that

I will say with the amount of dead zones I’ve been encountering lately and just so happen to go against Trickster it’s a recipe for disaster. Maybe I’m just unlucky but I’m getting huge empty dead zone maps and having Trickster as the killer.
