My pain playing Trickster: Wind-up animation
It is SO SLOW that is practically useless to use in loops because you'll get 1-2 hits per wind-up animation...if you are lucky.

I agree with this completely, the wind up time is the same as huntress which makes no sense, if his ability is a spray and prey ability then why is it as slow as possible to wind it up

Tbf I’d rather him not be like slinger with his instant ads

The difference is that with this killer you need 8 KNIVES to deal dmg, while you need just 1 M1 to dmg with slinger.

Tbf though Trickster having instant ADS wouldn't be as bad as Deathslinger cause Deathslinger only needs to hit one shot for an injure/down, whereas Trickster needs 8 for an injure/down, and Trickster still has to deal with recoil and spread.

Agreed even with instant ads he probably wouldn’t be good but it’s just not a good design for a ranged killers to have

Wow complaints on how fast you wind up to throw 60 knives but the survivors lose all use of DS because it is pointless if I cant touch anything or it deactivates. But lets leave perks for the killer that makes us scream whenever someone is in dying state or instant down. Boo hoo for you.

AGREED. I love playing him but that windup is so slow I accidentally let go to try bring it up again because I think its not coming and then I have to sit and wait for it to end and then start again.

He has too many drawbacks. It’s not that every drawback should be addressed but removing a few would massively improve his performance and feel.

Huntress has wind-up, too, but I think he needs a different buff.
Making knife hits permanent per injury would probably be the buff he needs. It's weird that all other ramping killers have options, like Myers and Ghostface with their stalking, or how Plague's sickness ramps and ends with injury/broken that can only be healed at fountains that further enable her power.
But Trickster just doesn't. Given how spammable, and easily avoided his knives can be, I think this would actually be a good fit, especially thematically.

This killer needs a complete rework in order for him to make sense, because even with buffs there's literally nothing that makes him unique.

Should be similar to Leatherface where the knives are always "prepped".
I don't know how it would be done though
