Where is Trial Warm-Up?
If any of you haven't seen it, I strongly suggest you watch Scott Jund's video on his recommendation on how to fix the problem in that killers are weak at the beginning the match, calling it "Trial Warm-Up," later the devs would reveal that they were planning to do something similar in the 4th anniversary stream.
It's nearly been a year now and I haven't heard anything about it, so where is the Trial Warm-Up?

They said they developed the initial idea they had into something else. But no other information given so far.
Personally, I would not say it is needed. And it is certainly a pain in the ass to balance I guess.

In the most recent QnA, they said it's evolved into something different, not related to the early game anymore.
@GoodBoyKaru so kindly jotted it all down in these handy posts. It's near the bottom of the initial post.

We did have it. Ruin undying before the nerf :’)

They are planning lots of things.
Some plans have taken years, like the Hatch standoff.
Have fun waiting.

I think they could just start small and let survivors always spawn together and after that decide if there are more changes needed.

Could be. Just a gamemechanic is difficult to balance. It might be really good for Trapper, but way too much on Spirit.
Personally, I like that Survivors do not spawn together, completely irrelevant that this gives them an advantage. At some point I thought about a reduced Repair Speed (just some percent), which gets removed when the Survivors get the "Reunited" Scoring Event, which is awarded when meeting another Survivor in the Trial for the first time.
So if they spawn far apart, they have a small penalty, but once they meet, they remove this penalty. And if a Survivor has seen all 3 other Survivors, they will repair at normal speed.
Could also be explained lorewise by giving hope to the Survivors when they see their teammates. Would also make Shrouds more useful, so a purple Shroud will basically guarantee that they get rid of the penalty immediatly, but the Killer still has some use, because now they all spawned together.
But, the problem with that is, it might benefit SWF more than Solos. (But it is questionable if SWFs would decide to meet at the start of the game just to get rid of a small penalty)

Hmm,it would be interesting to see both changes tested.
I just think my idea is easier to implement because you don't need to worry about potential balancing issues that might happen with it.

Surely it would be easier to implemented that all Survivors start together all the time. I also did not mean that my idea should be implemented at all. Personally, I just like it if Survivors dont spawn together, completely irrelevant for gameplay. For gameplay, it is obviously better if they spawn together.
But I doubt that their idea will be something simple like "Spawn all 4 Survivors together all the time". But this would be the first step, yes.

Not a priority. Only a minority of players see a need for it.

Killers already have enough help with perks. I don't think killers need another mechanic to help them win. They already got the endgame that is very killer sided with doors extremely close together and whispers to guarantee a kill. The beginning of the match is literally the only chance to barely get a head start and finish a gen or two.

I remember that they said that they pretty much changed their minds.

It was never promised. It was just an idea being explored. Also since he did this video there have been tonnes of map reworks.
It is of my personal opinion that early game slow down is now unnecessary. I’m a Clown main that rarely uses gen slow down. I manage just fine exerting enough early game pressure that a gen or 2 popping early is never a problem.
If I can do this as Clown in reds without meta perks, any player can do it with any killer (maybe not Trickster)

This is also a good point. How could an early game slow down be balanced around say an Infectious Fright Nurse slugging at 5 gens?
Sounds like a nightmare.

I feel honored knowing Sluzzy commented on one of my posts. To think the infamous troll would spend his time responding to me!

Your argument is invalid because you clearly didn't watch the video. I like the idea of Scott's, which ends the second a survivor is near a killer (4 meters), gets injured, or a chase starts.
