Played Trickster, I can now name every single one of his issues
-Recoil is extremely difficult to control on console
-Main event gives him a cooldown to throwing knives after it ends
-Does not stun survivors when hitting them (Meaning the survivors continue the action when being hit by kunais)
-His Kunai's are NOT threatening
-this one is personal opinion, but his tinnitus at the end of his main event is ear piercing
-Most of his add-ons are not that great
-Map reliant as hell
-Shows most of his power when camping survivors or tunneling
This is a prime example of a killer who should have went back to the drawing board

yeah people complaining about his recoil
And I'm on PC like it's no big deal

there not Kunai btw, also they should not stun survivors,
the tinnitus at main event is really nice and sounds great (opinion)
Main event cooldown is fine, just should be able to use it whenever and not it going away if not used

When will you ever need Main event?
He is literally horrid, the survivors are NOT threatened whatsoever by his knives
3 -
i mean theres no reason main event should go away for no reason, so atleast thats would be a buff if it stayed until used

A big design problem with main event is that if you fail to get a down with it, it generates extreme negative value as you can't throw knives. So unless main event takes a health state by itself, you actally are better off not hitting it.
This would be fine if you control it, it would give a big reward for outplaying the killer, but because its so random when you get it, you just never use it because hitting that button basically makes you auto-lose the chase unless the situation is perfect.
Hell, I can understand it not lasting forever to avoid hook camp scenarios. Just let it last until you do a pickup at LEAST.

I'm just flabbergasted at how bad he is.
Admittedly as soon as I saw the character, I thought this isn't my cup of tea...then when I got round to playing him...ruddy 'ell fire...
I have never experienced a killer this bad. Absolutely hideous.

I'm not saying remove Main Event, you have a time out on throwing more knives after it ends for some reason

Yeah Main Event is so terrible it's astounding how it made it to the live version. It has a delay between first having it available, letting go of M2, pressing CTRL, having it activate, having the first blade thrown. That delay is huge, even if you use main event at the ideal time the delay takes effect giving survivors a few extra seconds to run.
As others have said it's not even very powerful and if you don't get a down you can't throw any blades. People think the community is harsh on the designers but this is a reminder that the designer took a look at Trickster and the main event on the ptb and thought "this is too powerful, he must not be able to throw blades after the main event for a little while". There are no words...

I'd agree with changing so a strike temporarily stuns from a non-escape related action. If someone lobbed a dagger at me whilst I was fixing something I'd be a bit taken aback and lose focus for a moment!

He has so many problems that his mere existence is problematic.

Yes and no. His core design is actually fine. They just put way too many downsides on him.
Laceration, RNG recoil, long windup, slowdown, all the issues with Main event etc. just need to be reconsidered.

Realistically Short knives were thrown by Shinobis to stun opponents in a sword fight, also if 8 knives were thrown at you, you would react right?

The loading screen when playing survivor says that his recoil isn't good and he is slow thowing knives so take advantage of it 🤣🤣

Realistically Kunai were never throwing weapons to begin with, they were farming tools. Hollywood Bullshit and Naruto and other media have painted them with the ‘epic ninja tool’ brush.
Secondly, Shinobi weren’t ninjas and they didn’t fight either. This is another Hollywood Bullshit moment. Shinobi never existed and if they did then 1, they weren’t called Shinobi and 2, they didn’t fight. Ninja didn’t exist either.
But you aren’t wrong about thrown weapons, you would easily react to something being thrown at you, but not if you weren’t expecting it especially in your exemplary ‘sword fight’ range. Even so, you wouldn’t throw a knife because it has too little chance of hitting successfully, because it has a point that needs to pierce, you can’t perfectly nail an aim on literally anything, and you would leave your limb exposed for easy cutting off if you missed. But I digress.
The Trickster’s blades are literally just throwing knives. 1, Kunai are a Japanese tool, 2, he is Korean, and 3, they are literally called blades and said to be ‘throwing knives’ with no further explanation. They might look like Kunai but they very definitively are not. Even if these were throwing knives they are extremely impractical.
