So I get not every game has to be 4k but........
While it's understandable not every killer has to get 4k every game so killers are balanced around their ability to get at least 2k but at the same time we depip at 2-3 kills.
While survivors can be their absolute worst and even get killed and still pip.
you can't balance killer to only be good at getting maybe 2k to later depip us for getting 2k.

If you are in red ranks getting a pip while dying requires quite a lot actually
But they should reward 2-3ks more in the pip system to reduce people slugging for the 4K

I can tell you a secret... Pipping or depipping isn't directly related to kills, but emblems.
You could have gotten 2k because they suicided on hook, but that doesn't mean your performance was good.
The emblem system rewards performance, not kills.
That's why there are 2 ways of "winning" in this game: Kills or Emblems.
Personally, I'm more of a tru3 player so my play style is going for hooks and iridescent emblems... Ruthless-merciless killer is a win to me.
You could get a 4k but having a ######### performance, that's why for me, aiming for performance is the most realistic thing to do.

When we get SBMM, ranks won't really mean much besides BP bonuses, and also you won't be able to de-pip, so a 'loss' won't be such a blow. It'll probably stop people being so sweaty in general tbh.

The emblem system aims to reward good performance, take it as top basketball team or a top football team have a match against a amateur team of friends, they are going to stomp but they wont be proving anything.
If a Killer curbstomps the Survivors, downs them asap with very short chases, slug them for 4k and end the game with 4 hooks total you won, but you didnt prove anything because you got paired against potatos so you shouldnt advance the ranks, same applies to Survivors, if a Killer gets looped for 5 gens its because he is worse than the Survivors he is facing, Survivors will most likely escape all and win but they didnt prove anything either, they faced a potato with a knife so they shouldnt advance the ranks either.
You should advance the ranks by proving you are better than someone similar to your skill not by smashing very weak oponents.
That being said, a win should never mean a depip except in some especific cases.
P.D. yes I know the emblem system is busted and doesnt achieve that in a very good way but thats the intended purpose.
