So Trickster...
Iβve been playing him since his release non stop and I am SLIGHTLY switching sides. He DEFINITELY needs buffs and fixes but heβs no where near as horrible as the community says he is he definitely isnβt given enough credit but I definitely gave him too much credit. So far what Iβm noticing to be major flaws are
β’Main Event isnβt effective enough even when active at most optimal times itβs terribly inaccurate and feels to slow for what itβs cost is
β’Recoil is too extreme. Recoil does help and can be used to your advantage but atm itβs too extreme to be reliable.
β’Laceration decay is too annoying. Someone once pitched an idea to me to make it so survivors have to manually remove the blades for the meter to decay and I think thatβd be a great idea cause atm Laceration decay feels too oppressive on Trickster.
β’Overall accuracy. You can be pretty accurate with his knives however even when you have them lined up the blades still feel slightly off (and yes this is with his hand switches taken into account).
β’It wouldnβt hurt to make him 115%

Other than the recoil point, I completely agree with you on everything here.

I found that spamming m1 instead of holding it down really helps with accuracy while throwing knives. Could be confirmation bias but i feel that the spread of the knives is a lot less that way. Seriously though it makes a huge difference. My matches are certainly improving with him.
As in i can actually get a few hooks and kills with him now
The biggest problem is he is so slow. If you have a map with a lot of tall loops you're doomed. even worse if you have an indoor map. shack for example is just a lost cause if survivors realise they can run around the outskirts and you can get maybe 1 or 2 blades each corner or chase forever around it as a 110% killer.
All in all though after having some matches with him. I think he will be a fine addition to the roster once he's out of alpha.

All the survivors have to do is run a maze tile tight and suddenly you're a 4.4 m1 killer. That alone makes him the worst killer in the game by an enormous margin.

I actually wish the main event would last "activable" way longer..
i usually reach main event when I'm either about to damage the survivor with the next 2 knives OR I could easily switch to M1. Both situations doesn't require the main event to be activated. Then, when he survivor has been hit he/she gets a speed boost and bam, my main event is gone before I am even able to use it in my gameplay.

Agreed. All the problems of Huntress without her lethality.

The sad part is, you can actually hit people running maze tiles tightly with his daggers. They simply decay too quickly.

I have managed to have a go with him for the first time this afternoon.
So thankful I didn't spend money on this rubbish.
All matches with his 3 base perks.
1st match - Tried out his power etc. I hook. 4 escapes. Displeased.
2nd match - When M1. Was stalked by a flashlight clicker. 1 sacrifice and 3 escaped with found key before final gen. Brutal.
3rd match - Tried M1 again. A few hooks, no sacrifices. Someone brought a kay, all left via hatch. Displeased.
4th match- M1. Had a trolling Claudette on one of the house's upper floor continuously jumping over the pallet the whole match (patrolled 3 closest gens). 1 sacrifice. Displeased.
Great times be had πππ

Yeah agree with all of this also the fact that he gets slowed when holding knives I get throwing
But why holding them

The only useful aspect of his set up is Starstruck.
His knives are more of a hindrance.
He's got no map pressure.
He's as slow as a snail walking home with it's shopping.
His contant giggling and humming work against him.
This is one floater of a killer. Needs flushing.

He has a couple good pressure points as in he can pressure multiple survivors out of the area at once which of course is great but the problem there is he isnβt effective enough to capitalize on this effect.

Tbf this fate is shared by huntress as well. The only difference is she can end them quicker when they leave the loops.

Sounds like you're just not good with him and need to learn. My first couple of games went wayy better than yours did and even the bad ones I just blame it on not having perks or not playing as well as I could. Doesn't mean the killer is bad. Just means you need to play him more and get better and better perks

Yeah thanks for that boastful insight. Top notch.

Well I didn't really mean it like that. I mean just wait until you have better perks on him before you say he's bad.

You don't even need perks or addons to realize he's bad. Tell me one good thing he can do better then slinger and huntress.

So ruin pop corrupt and bbq all t3 and I'm still bad gotcha

His power is not effective in it's current state. This isn't up for dispute. It's very bad.
Playing him as a M1, users will naturally get better results with strong perks outside his own.
But using his own 3 perks combined with his 'power': horrendous.
He needs a serious buff.
2 -
Well assuming the scenario with all three in the open he can down them faster than slinger or about the same speed. Huntress is best overall but at loops he's worse than both

Played 2 won 2, both 4K
Played against once, he got 4k
Not as bad as they say but low to midranks aren't really here ;)
