Can’t believe I’m saying this, but should Startstruck have a longer cool down?
Seriously.
This perk is incredibly strong, and manages to regularly affect more than one survivor at a time (especially when it’s so expectedly paired with Agitation).
You can make every attempt to not be grouped up and still get exposed each and every time Starstruck procs. And 30 seconds isn’t exactly short either. Anything else in this game that Exposes survivors have far heavier restrictions.
So I pose the question, is it’s current cool down too short?

Probably a bit too soon to say, I've had loads of matches where the killer doesn't get any use out of starstruck all match.

It's weak if anything. It could use a buff.
18 -
I guess not since they even lowered the cooldown between ptb and live.

Why does it have a cooldown?
9 -
No. It simply synergizes far too well with The Nurse and adds even more onto the case to shrink her TR.
On most killers, it's decent. But the killer is giving up two slots for it, which is totally fine.
2 -
Not a cool down, but smaller range that is just large enough to prevent body blocking.
1 -
honestly, i feel like its fine.
its strong, but nothing OP - and we really need a Killer that brings us some perks that are actually usable.
in general, if you want to counter it, dont be near the killer when he chases someone, dont go for bodyblocks, dont greed gens right next to them and be stealthy whenever you're affected.

The only killer that can really take advantage of it is Nurse and maybe Hag if she's got a good web up.
Other than that it's pretty meh in my opinion
2 -
Hard to tell just yet but on nurse it’s going to be a pain in the ass
as if I needed another reason to hate her

Well I saw Nurse's and Hag's using Starstruck and I can say that it's not that huge deal. There are way worse conditions where we all played like unlimited tier 3 myers, ghostie that exposed you and etc... That perk is yes it is strong but it is not something like ""Ohh noo"" . If you are exposed you should be careful or hiding until the effect wears off. It is not a big deal scary perk. There are way more dangerous perks in that game that killer can use.

Which is incredibly difficult to achieve Solo, with a TR that’s constantly moving around the map.
1 -
That simply isnt true. A killer incapable of finding another survivor within 30 seconds of a hook occurring and is simply really really bad at tracking.
0 -
The thing is,if you let yourself get downed through Starstruck by anything other than Nurse,Spirit,Hag and maybe Wraith then it's the survivors faul. Not the perk
2 -
While that sounds neat, the range currently depends on the killer's TR, so killers like Myers or anyone with a below average TR gets less value out of it. If you find out they have Starstruck, you best hide for a majority until it's safe.

I was a little surprised at it's cooldown when I first saw it.
Idk I'm just shocked an Exposed perk has such a short cooldown when other killer perks with weaker effects have MUCH longer cooldowns. There's a lot of killer perks I wish had a slightly lower cooldown tbh

Please don’t pretend that the game balances on the idea that a killer only gets hits that survivors let them have.
1 -
Generally I'd say it won't be nerfed, because it (like Stridor) is a perk that gives incredible value but only to a very small cast of characters (Spirit, Nurse, Wraith and maybe Hag), and for everyone else its very weak. Those types of perks generally fly under the radar.

I know, but they can change it and base it on distance. They can make the area of effect in the shape of a cone that goes where ever the killer is facing. Then again, I'm bad at this game so no one needs to take my suggestions, and as you said, we can just hide until it wears off.

not really.
when you hear the Hearbeat, leave the general area. its definitely easier for SWF, but thats just one possible way to counteract it.
not bodyblocking / greeding things (like gens or unhooks) with Starstruck active should just be common sense, and you really dont need to be part of an SWF to hide for 30 seconds.
imo we ust gotta give players more time to adapt to the perk. the killer has been out for a week now and so has Starstruck - give the players some time to find strategies with / against the Perk before calling for nerfs.
2 -
Of course i don't.
However, you as a survivor, get more than enough time to get away from the killer before he's able to get any value from Starstruck, except some killer maybe.
There are also windows and pallets that you can use,so i don't see how this perk could be any more problematic than other perks like Make your choice.

If I'm being downed by it with Trickster, the slowest killer ever, you can imagine how powerful the perk is gonna be in the hands of faster ones.
1 -
That's the only good thing that came with that crap Trickster patch. Can we keep this one thing? Yeah? That cool? Thanks.
My nurse loves that perk.

It's only semi-decent on the Nurse.

or in a Mad Grit build

jesus christ trickster is already the weakest killer.
you trying to make his adept impossible now?

It's shockingly strong on high mobilty killer when paired with TR increasing perks. I had one particularly creative killer using it with that Plague scream perk ,insta picking and then dropping the survivor and chasing.

I've yet to even be downed by Starstruck, but yeah the killer gets it back very quickly. I'd say it's the best counter perk to people who use Breakout

Give starstruck a smaller specific distance radius instead of the terror radius. If the purpose is to stop body blocking, then this will work. I have had many games where I am doing a gen and the killer comes slightly nearer while carrying someone and everyone working on the gen is exposed.

Quick heads up, Starstruck will still activate if you were to have the cooldown end while the survivor is being carried, basically random exposure during body blocks is hilarious
