Repressed Alliance Buff

A cool perk that I really like but is pretty much useless is Repressed Alliance. Although it blocks the killer from kicking a gen, ruin still affects it and it can be more of an inconvenience than a help. In order to fix this, I came up with the idea that no gen perks affect a gen that is blocked by repressed alliance, and the player that used the perk can deactivate the perk during the time that the perk is active.

When a gen is blocked all progress on it is halted, including regression caused by Ruin. It will still have Ruin applied to it, but it won't regress until the gen is unblocked again. Repressed Alliance is actually a counter to Ruin because of that

Repressed Alliance would have a use if it properly froze a gen, and if the survivor stayed in control. It still wouldn't be strong either, only effective against Ruin and Pop.

It needs to be able to be deactivated by all survivors. The question is, how would you implement that? Besides that, the amount of time needed to activate the perk should be far less. 40 seconds sounds good to me.

I used Repressed Alliance plenty and I assure you it’s very effective when used correctly. It’s situational, sure, but it can single-handedly save you whole gens.

Another thing to note is that it reveals the gen when you block it. So it lets your teammates know that the gen is almost done and they should head over to pop it before the Killer does.
