How often do you get slugged?

So, if you think that slugging is annoying? Not my problem. How often do you get slugged every match? I have multiple times with Michael Myers, or Wraith. and then you have no perks to actually spice things up. Feel free to answer if "you" think that's annoying, it pretty is to be honest. 😥

Depends obviously on the killer I’m playing against and the ranks but about every second game or so. With oni and nurse being a bit more common due to the rift that’s probably why

Whenever I am using unbreakable never otherwise rarely.

If you think of that, the killers would be [BAD WORD] Angry, that round with the Wraith with Swf, my brother and my friend, just died from the dying state. I would rather bring unbreakable anytime just in case if they want to slugparty or they would treat survivors like toys.

Not often at all. That is why I never use Unbreakable. I don't need to.

Not too often, and rarely in the "toxic"/petty kind of way. I play a lot of killer, so I often understand why the killer is slugging in that moment.

I'll say, I don't get slugged enough to run unbreakable yet.

    Slugged for the 4k? often.

Slugged for any other reason? Not so often

Not enough. I like to run Unbreakable, maybe even Tenacity to boot, but I can probably count the number of times I've managed to actually get myself up on one hand.

Have to admit I've been slugged a bit. But not every match.

I get sandbagged more than slugged. Like if I've been hooked and saved il instant get bagged down and placed on the hook again but then if my teams not timing correctly or doesn't run BT it's not really a surprise.

Currently on a 3 match slug streak. 15 minute waits in between matches for the killer to only want 4 out of 12 possible hooks. So around 45 minutes of waiting and roughly 15 minutes of game time - kind of annoying

As per frequency, not super common but also not a rare occurrence

I get slugged only when I don't run Unbreakable - when I do have it, I'm never slugged!! I swear I'm cursed :)

Perhaps maybe the worst slugger in the gamet: Basement Bubba!

Not had basement Bubba yet tonight. Regular Bubba just now though but he sounds too cute when he's having so much fun

It's not common but every few games my entire team thinks its a good idea to rescue someone while they're injured and the killer is right there.

It's quite rare. Which is why most people will complain about slugging but they'll never actually bring perks to counter it.

That's the average match mind you.

"Good" players will always have at least Unbreakable as they understand that's the only way the killer has a chance of winning.

It's a bit uncommon for me, I honestly don't think it is that bad.

Not that much. My teammates get slugged a lot so I'm usually using either For The People or WGLF, but personally it doesn't happen much.

Hard to quantify, but almost every time I play huntress they slug at 5 gens. Really annoying. But its generally an effective strat so I know why they do it. But it makes for terrible play from a survivor perspective. I'd rather get hard tunneled out of the game.

    gatsby Member Posts: 2,533

Not that often. I try to take my chases away from where my teammates are so there’s usually little incentive to slug

As a console player the amount I'm slugged directly correlates to whether or not crossplay is on or off. Crossplay off and slugging is the exception. Crossplay on and slugging is the norm.

I almost never slug, the only time i have recently was when i was attempting trickster adept, but before that I always avoid tunneling and slugging.

I get slugged every game when I play survivor. It's bad enough that I run unbreakable/soul guard on my mains. I used to get a lot of matches when everyone was slugged & the killer was running knockout as well.

But as a killer, yeah, I get it. I slug too. Usually just to put pressure on people. I did have one match where a 4 stack was trying to flashlight me during every down and every pallet break, though, so I slugged them all and stood on their bodies in a pile so they couldn't get back up again with unbreakable & watched them bleed out. It was a little petty.

Quite often. I wish there was a button that would let me bleed out quickly.

I used Unbreakable for 15 matches before taking it off and instantly got a twins match....

I usually dont play survivor, but when I do I frequently do. As killer, I'll slug whenever It is benifital to me

Either when I'm one of two survivors left or when I'm not running anti-slugging perks

    I almost never get slugged mid-match unless it's Oni/Twins.

  • Dwight_Fairfield
    Dwight_Fairfield Member Posts: 7,040

Not very often. Usually only when its an infectious fright Oni or the Twins. Thankfully I don't see the latter much.

A few, but it's a tactic I understand, and in some cases the only right thing to do, so I get it. In effect, sometimes I feel relieved because the killer decides not to rehook me and gives me a chance of escape. It's not often, so doesn't bother me.

I never get slugged. I really wish I did, so I could have a teammate heal me or something. I always get picked up right away, especially after I'm farmed off a hook. It sucks

I used to get slugged almost every game before the DS nerf. Now, I'm just tunneled to death instead of getting slugged. 🤷‍♂️

Myself I rarely get slugged, the other guy who gets downed when we are only 2 Survivors left gets slugged around 1 out of 4 games or so.

And no, Im not a coward who inmerses himself on a corner, Im just very good at juking and going undetected when the Killer comes check the gen Im working on so Im usually one of the 2 that are left for last.

Barely, killers i go against are never skillfull, unless it's against any decent nurse which you rarely go against

The thing is, I only get slugged when I'm not using Unbreakable. I don't really mind it at all tho.

I hate when how they slug with tier III myers or a trickster with the Starstruck perk.

I find it odd that slugging is so uncommon. As a killer I will often slug with the intention of saving a generator from popping. I never intend to pick up the slugged survivor and expect the group to pick-up. It's a trade off that I'm making. I give up a hook to try to get everyone off of gens (I'll do this when ruin is active) I'll also slug if a situation arises where every alive survivor is injured and near each other. But it's a very short term thing, I either get everyone down and finish the game or I start picking up slugs. I will never slug for a 4k unless you are literally right next to me as I downed the second to last survivor.

How often do I slug as killer, every game. How often do I get slugged as survivor, basically never.

I get slugged so rarely that I've stopped running Unbreakable or Soul Guard. As killer, I slug maybe once in 2-3 games.

Every game. With red rank killers it's kind of a must occurrence in every game. Obsession or not. The trend lately is that they just nod up and down. Even if you and your team weren't toxic at all, they'll nod up and down like wankers while I can just imagine them screaming "Yes, no more DS trouble" as they beat their dick to the DbD theme.

Me personally? Maybe once or twice every 10 games. But if you include other survivors getting slugged in my games then it probably happens every 3 or so games. So altogether, slugging is a very common experience.

It's very common with Nurses, Twins, Onis, Blights and Huntresses.

  • DwightFairfield
    DwightFairfield Member Posts: 1,246

normally when the killer runs noed, but not every killer running it

even when noed isn't activated (like at 3 gens) they slug and try to wait out the bleedout timer

idk why, it's just noed brings out the worst in some people
