Ridiculous Killers one hit down power
I like many players spend gobs of money on DBD.Just to have to wait forever to get in a lobby and then get took down with the first strike by the killer? It's game over at that point! Why not show who the killer is so we can back out unless you end the one hit drop.

Any killer that can one hit down at base is fine as they all have obvious counters.

Nah the one shot killers are balanced.

Bad bait, try again.

Showing who the killer is in the lobby would be a monsterous disadvantage for the killer. It would let the survivors change their build to perfectly counter the killer, which would end up bullying the killer, making it no fun for them. Say its a spirit, then every survivor will run Iron Will. A wraith? Every survivors runs flashlights. It would give survivors a very unfair advantage that isn’t needed.
also, it would make lobby times way too long for people who play unliked killers. Playing as freddy would make waiting times go from 3-4 minutes to half an hour because of how many people would lobby dodge.
it just shouldnt happen.

Showing who the killer is would nerf all stealth killers.
And if you don't like long queue times play killer. If you don't want to do that, stop complaining about it.

Insta-saw Billy was a thing since DbD's beginning, and he has a 1-hit.
Here we are, almost 5 years now.
I think, at least on the aspect of Killer Powers with 1-hit downs, we're doing just fine.

I agree. Sad thing it got 2 vote ups. Post like these is why I only check the forums when I'm bored at work. Nothing else to do so why not. Only value on the forums these days are BP codes.

"Why not show who the killer is so we can back out unless you end the one hit drop."
That is how it used to work, in the early days of the game. You couldn't lobby dodge, of course, but you could prepare to fight against an one hit down killer. How, you wonder? Well, initially hooks were tied to the killer, not the realm.
Survivors quickly learnt that they could identify a Killer by taking a look at the design of the nearest Hook shortly after spawning. Because of that, killers relying on the element of surprise were revealed too early to the Survivors and popular tactics, like to hold off on using one's Power if it made distinct noises to disguise one's identity for as long as possible, were nullified.
The Developers realised this and changed Hooks to no longer be tied to a Killer prior to the release of the Halloween Chapter. They were from then on bound to the Realm.

Fun fact, none of the killers with 1-hit powers are even in the top 5.

This is a horrible idea. Spirits, Freddy’s, Deathslingers, etc. will never be able to play the game ever again.

If you back out then you're in the Q more when you could have been playing lol

funnily enough, a vast majority of the top tier killers cant oneshot.
Nurse, Spirit, Blight, Freddy, Hag - just to name a few.

I don't now about shown showing the killer but there are so many killer perks that expose you and add ons that one shot you. there over 7 perk that can do this on top of perks that can see survivors. I under stand mettle of man was OP when it came out but now there are so many won shot perks that I think mettle of man needs to be put back to normal.it would Balinese the game more
