Why is Main Event so bad?
You slow down to 90% speed, you can't stop throwing unless you cancel it entirely, you can't use your knives for a bit afterwards, combined with the insane recoil... I mean why use it at all? I'm serious when I say that using Main Event will hurt you more than it helps you. Trickster can't afford to waste time with a garbage special that doesn't do anything half the time he uses it. You need for someone to be out in the open and not even attempting to dodge for it to have any lethality. And you can't even control when you get it, and when you get it when you don't want to use it, it just goes away. Blood Fury and Evil Within 3. Those are how you do specials, because the player decides when they want to use them, and they will want to use them because they make the killer stronger, not weaker.

Yeah it's very terrible.
Slow movement speed.
(bugged btw)Very small activation window.
Blades don't affect survivors more with this power.
And blades aren't being thrown faster than normal. (Which should be a thing with this power honestly.)

I've only seen players use it effectively when they bust someone in the unhook animation

I'm pretty sure the intention is for him to be moving at 110% move speed and to have increased throwing speed. They should also take off the auto fire. Nobody asked for that, its dumb

Honestly I don't get why it's in his kit at all. It's such a dumb and boring thing.
Like you have purple addons that make his knives shatter into pieces, or bounce off everything, you had clear potential for cool mechanics there to be part of his base kit and make them fun and rewarding and balanced......but instead HURR KNIVES GO BRRRRR.......
Idk it's disappointing.
I also hate the sounds. They sound so crappy, like they are made of glass.

They kinda look like it but they only ever call them "Knives, blades" and In all of his addons they say things like "Blood-rusted knives" so idk.
Even if they are, the plink sound is just not very rewarding and not very threatening sounding. Hell the effect isn't either since you don't even flinch when hit I've had survivors literally heal through me hitting them as I approach hammering them with knives.
While I get one knife shouldn't cancel an action that would be annoying, if you are being hammered I really don't think you should be able to heal over it xD

it's great when it works but the problem is you can only use it within 15 seconds.
it could be a very useful defensive tactic for unhooks.
but that being said why would I want to move so god damn sloooooooooooooooow

I don't think that is the case. I think what Main Event does is simply make it so your movement speed does not further decay while throwing knives. It doesn't prevent you from moving slower than 110%.

It’s bad because by the time it activates someone is probably already injured anyway. You can’t save the main event for when you come across a fully healed survivor or more than one. It’s essentially a waste cause you can just down the person regularly or with knives the same amount of time as main event

Its a power parasite:
Its a cool feature the devs want on the character but have to make the rest of the character bad to make it remotely fair.
This is just my personal observation but it taking way too many knifes default for one damage was caused by main event as main event would down too fast when you make it take less knifes for damage.

It is not bugged. The description of the power says "his movement speed does not decrease after each throw.", which is exactly what happens. You are as slow at the beginning of main event as you are at the end.

@danielmaster87 When you're out of knives or nearly out of knives and you have an opportunity to shoot at a survivor in the open, it saves you time for sure, even more if there are multiple survivors (assuming you have Cut Thru U Single purple add-on equipped).
In this scenario without Main Event and knives, you'd have to whack your target with a basic attack and the other one would be able to run away. Leaving you with one survivor to hook, either the first one you downed or the 2nd one if you chase him while the 1st one is picked up.
If the conditions are optimal, you can get two downs there, I do it quite often. Mostly without Main Event but if Main Event is up and they are in the open, I use it right away. When you consider the fact it gives Free Knives, the only real problem I have with Main Event is that you can't really choose When you'd like to use it.
Most Trickster players are not using Main Event all that much because to unlock it you need to use your knives first, giving time for a survivor to run into cover,. But if we could keep it, we could start an encounter with Main Event we'd save alot of time making the use of the ability lot easier. I kinda like the Super Move charging idea, even if it's quite similar to the base power and still slow you down.

With how little he has already, I don't think removing Main Event entirely is a good idea, but instead they should make it so it's usable.

It's boring anyways, even if it was good.
I would rather him be good from interesting things.
Don't worry though, whatever improvements bhvr makes it will be whatever is easiest; without having to change too many addons or way much of him works at all. It will be whatever the bare minimum effort is.
