Why is it possible to lose laceration stacks mid chase???

Why is this a mechanic.. You don't even have to make them permanent on a survivor. just make it where they dont start falling off if they are like within 50 meters of you. the amount of times that you get 8 stacks in someone and then they turn multiple corners and then ultimately just escape and they get no downside and you lose all progress on them, even though you are actively chasing them... the amount of times that i have to throw a dagger to refresh the laceration meter to get to where it was in the same chase is actually stupid.

I don't mean to defend the current state of Trickster, but to play devil's advocate, I believe the idea is that Survivors using cover to avoid knife hits for a while and heal some of their laceration progress is their intended counterplay to the Trickster's power.

I think the mechanic itself is ok but they need to increase the time it starts to decay. They've already increased it by 10 seconds in next patch so we'll see if that's enough.
