Survivors DC the moment they saw me.
I was running Freddy for a game, and the moment i loaded in a survivor dc'ed. Then the second one did the same. Then the third one suicided on hook, and the other also suicided.

We're you running paint brush with swing chains or something?

I totally understand lol

no the only add on I was running was to make my snares, fake pallets. My build was, BBQ and Chili, Hex: Ruin, Bamboozle, Blood Warden.

######### happens, what’s your point?

Could be worse... could of been the Old Freddy
You were lucky to get a full game when you played as that guy

People don't like Freddy these days, he is very oppressive and requires minimal skill. DCing the second they load in is a bit extreme though.

I’m so sick of commenters like this. Can people not share their experiences on this forum? The point of this post is to have a conversation. If the topic doesn’t interest you you don’t have to comment with a non-statement like “what’s your point?”. There are dozens and dozens of posts uploaded hourly. Pick one that interests you instead of just being a drag on these posts.

This behavior explains his ridiculously high kill rate.

What the actual...?
Really? Without any prompting besides the basic passive-falling-asleep notification? That's... That's a bit too far just to avoid a killer.
Maybe they have genuine psychological reasons for hating him, like the character reminding them of irl stuff or something. I hope not, but I also don't want to immediately call someone... just that level of sheer quitter.

Exactly it’s a forum I can post whatever I want. But imagine everyone made a thread every time someone dc’d or camped/tunnelled.

I mean they practically do. Still, I enjoy those posts cause usually everyone has different experiences and they want to share or ask what or why. Why did the Wraith DC when there was still five gens left? Why was I camped right at the start of the match by Nurse? Why did everyone DC after I slugged them as Spirit straight at the start? It’s an interesting topic and each story can be unique to hear about, even if the overall topic is the same.

Well, I was using Oni in a match, two survivors with flashlights and one with a macro... the one with the macro went to the killer's shack pallet, missplayed and I got a down, when I was about to hook him, he DC'ed, the other survivor with the flashlight did the same and DC'ed (they were rank 1 and 2 respectively) It's kind of fun they want to bully and mock a killer but they DC when the killer stomps them

I have had a glitch where I will load into a match and then my game breaks. The other two may have felt like it was a bad match with no chance and took the easy way out :(!

Well, if you saw 2 people DC and YET went to 'play normal' and hook the other two...
Sometimes you ought to take a break as killer. Relax, fool around and let them go. See if they got any challenges to do if that can be communicated.

I must be the luckiest player in the Fog, then. It was extremely rare for someone to DC when I played as Old Freddy. And I played him a lot.
I think that is because they underestimated Freddy's chances of actually beating them. And I always tried my best to punish them for it.

I've done this, if a couple people dc I'll run at the killer so I can suicide hook. I'm not here to farm, and I can't play a normal round so off to the next I go

Yes, it is extreme. But I don't see it happen very often. And I am a Freddy main.

Those survivors DCed because they're bad survivors. Let them eat a DC penalty. They won't be missed. I remember the days of double mending add ons legion, instasaw billy, machine gun hatchet huntress. Those were broken. Freddy is not. Play whoever you want.

It is impossible to forget Infinite Mending Legion, isn't it? Literally the worst trials I've ever played.
0 -
Well if that’s a norm for them, then they’ll eventually receive super long DC penalties.

You can say whatever you want but stop being rude for no reason. In every thread you are nothing but passive aggressive and rude. People got banned for less on these forums, just saying.

I mean, I don't blame the rest of the team. The first person who dc'd was just a turd. But if 5 gens were still up, 3 solo against Freddy is miserable.

It happens quite frequently with Freddy. Had two survivors DC on me one day as soon as they got on a Gen. (I had one slowdown add-on because I was trying for an archive challenge, though I forget which ATM). I decided to farm with the other two, cause would've sucked to be them and get no points because your teammates are cowards.

Sadly, this might be part of the reason. While I was working on getting my Freddy to Prestige 3 nearly half my games wound up with at least 1 person DC'ing or suiciding on hook. One game had all 4 survivors go down to the basement and start walking in a conga line around the hook waiting for me to show up and kill them. Pretty sure they were just trolling or something in that one...but still. Weak survivors don't even try against Freddy and allow themselves to die on hook. This will inflate the death numbers.
Honest question...do the devs only look at the kills or do they look at how many hooks and the length of the game too?

No one knows. The newly introduced hook counter would be perfect to determine how many hooks the killer got per each repaired gen.
But then again, it counts a kill as 3 hooks. Even when it was just 1 hook.

I will play against Freddy normally until my second hook (First if he's mowing my team down). I don't want to stick around for a game I know I won't win.

The first guy that disconnected is the reason why 5 minutes DC penalties are too lenient. The other players shouldn't be held in a 3v1 2v1 or what have you when someone leaves. I hope a matchmaking system is coming soon that will separate gamers from the constant flow of players who give in so easily and send me right back to lobby simulator.

My Fiance and I go into every match saying "Oh Good its not Freddy. Thank God." or "Damn it. Its Freddy. Greeeat."
We never DC against him but he is one of the most unfun Killers to go against. He has a bloated kit and is just generally really annoying.
